My xbox one is just turning 8 years old. It's the only xbox I've had since 360 and is starting to stop working. Today for christmas I was somehow lucky enough to end up with a series x. Runs like a dream on PS5. PS4 was playable, but torture lol. Dropping to 15ish fps in PVP made it feel like if you ever got a kill it was pure luck. Been having loads more fun on new gen though. 👍

I think the difference in graphical fidelity it’s either a placebo or down to the new auto hdr engine the new consoles have. The game runs in compatibility mode, as confirmed by the developers. So it emulates itself as an Xbox one to play the game, it’s not optimised for next gen in any way, shape or form. The performance difference on the other hand is a no brainer given just how much more powerful the new consoles are.

Also worth noting the game is currently capped at 30 fps. The game typically runs at 24 fps on the original Xbox One and a steady 30 on next gen. If they dropped support and focused on next gen only it’d be incredible!

i normally play rust on pc but decided to get it on my xbox one s to play with a friend, nowadays the experience is alot smoother after a bunch of updates, when its not freezing it runs just fine at a decent framerate compared to the new gen consoles, but when i go near bigger bases or monuments it tends to frree for upwards of 5seconds which is quite annoying, the pvp aspect is acceptable although i found the previously mentioned freezes disrupt the pvp quite a bit, ive have died countless times due to the freezing. but when it dosent freeze during pvp its alright. for what it is considering its not an up to date console it runs it fairly acceptable and i was pleasently surprised at how well it ran it.

Rust console is just about playable on old gen but, 9 out of 10 times, you will lose a fight with someone that is on the new Xbox even if they are less skilled than you

Can you please do a raiding guide for solo/duo? Going over scouting the right base figuring out cost. What to raid early, middle and late game (shotguns, axes then what to go for with explo ammo then rockets and c4 ect) how to build a raid base tips like things to bring bags, traps ect. Also which way to go and what to use like if I have explo ammo do I go through a roof, the honeycomb or go for doors, outline what kinda base designs will require what tools and cost. Thanks!

Love how the devs keep saying the console can’t handle much more. yet look at ark for console it has electric, transportation ground an air, maps are decent size an a learning system it also has like 11 different maps u can jump to. d11 just seem to be useing the excuse all pc players say about console (not enough storage yet there game is only like 25gbs an ark is about 91gb it seems to me there is alot of space they are trying to save due to the more gbs they use the more they have to spend but instead of saying they are trying to take the cheap way out they blame it on the console storage!! Same reason there are not custom servers yet they want to save money an make there own servers instead of renting them from Nitrado. Yet seems they want to save money so bad there budget won’t allow them to get there own servers up an running a year after the games been out. An the worse part is they still have not made official boosted servers or solo-duo servers. Idk any game that took a year to come out with custom servers. I’d be a bit more understanding if the game was in pre release but it’s not.

Iv loved playing rust but apart from all the bugs the biggest let down for me is cheating while people raid our hard earned base, they could head shot us while sitting behind solid walls or doors, head shots constantly and the ability to see our tc so they just c4ed straight to it even though it was no way obvious where it was. It's happened three times by the same group over two wipes.

As a PC player, I'm really happy to see how the current gen console versions look. Great, a whole new audience can enjoy this awesome game! Last gen looks atrocious all around. Playable, sure, but I would only play a private server with friends, if that is even possible. _Especially_ if it is cross platform from last to current gen. EDIT: One tip for newcomers: Unlike a lot of FPS, sidestepping is very very slow. You can't dodge/escape or lead someone with just sidestepping, you have to actually turn in that direction to move faster. Easier to do on a mouse. In my experience with consoles fpsers, sidestepping helps line up your aim and keeps you as a moving target. Not the same with Rust, it's deceptively slow.

Last gen never runs on 30fps people, they just say that it does, either 20 which is most common or straight up freezing which I can confirm happens mid gunfight and in raids which makes it unplayable, I think if they added last gen servers only into the game, last gen players may actually be able to have fun (because gunfights are actually fair).

There aren’t enough comparison videos between one x the premium version of last gen consoles and the series X the premium version of this gen consoles. I wonder why🤔. Why would you compare a base model Xbox one to a premium series x anyway?Kinda stating the obvious. Without watching the video we know there will be a significant difference. More people in 2023 would be likely to be upgrading from one x to series x so it would make more sense to do comparison videos for those 2 consoles that is of course assuming there is much difference in the first place. No truly, comb through KZbin and the internet in general you will be hard pressed to find a one x and series x comparison video. It’s like one x has been pretty much scrubbed from the internet. All these years later I can still see Kim K getting banged by Ray J but I struggle to find reviews of Xbox one x comparison videos with series x🤷 I get that the names are similar but whose fault was that? Is it really that Microsoft didn’t want to confuse people and removed one x or shadow banned it’s name so search engines bring up series x content more frequently or is it because there is less of an upgrade than is often suggested?

i was a big fan of Rust back when you could build super close to the outpost so you'd get turret protection for half of your base. This made solo player like myself have a real chance to stand against big zerg clans and against aim bot using or no recoil cheaters (there's a lot of those on xbox) they use something called airstrike controllers it makes their ak or m2 shoot full automatic in a straight line. Its completely unfair in a game like rust where guns havfe huge recoill. But those cheaters are usually dumb so id make sure to fall in plain view of outpost turrets so they would get shot at when trying to loot me. And having a door on turret side gave me a fighting chance. - But now i cant build near outpost anymore and there is a glitch where if you log out and reload the game, it bring outpost hostility from 30 minutes to 0. So double eleven clearly chose to help the cheaters in killing the casual players and this made a lot of players quit the game entirely. I stayed for a while because i started playing on low pop servers but the double elevfe started puting all low pop servers at the top of search results and that is what made me quit. - Thank you double eleven for RUINING THE GAME. Now i hope you go bankrupt like telltale diid.
