How do you know what colors you end up with when using different base coat colors? The black, brown, gray test looked like different shades of green to me. Do you just have to experiment with different background colors?

We noticed that we were getting some different colors on all of the boards based on how the light was hitting the board at the time - the black, brown and gray board did look really green in this video because of the angle, but at other angles it had just a slight iridescent shimmer to it. Also - we noticed with our light colored boards (white, yellow, pink), that at different angles the iridescent glitter won't "shine" as much and the pieces of glitter themselves were more visible, and the board ended up having more or less a "speckled" look to it. If you are going to use the gold or silver glitter, keep in mind that the glitter itself is darker, so on lighter colors the "speckled" look may be more pronounced. Definitely experiment with different colors, jut keep in mind that your results will be impacted by the lighting in the room.

What type or brand of paint roller do you recommend for this type of paint glitter?

We used a foam roller in this video, which gave the glitter paint a smooth application on the drywall we used.

if you put it on right, meaning you prep well before during and after it looks great. If you don't many won't notice the glitter affects at all. if you've done it already take a very supper fine sand paper and in circles sand the object you painted with it, it will help pop the glitter that may have been too combined into the paint, use too coarse of a sand paper you'll remove the glitters. also seal it after wards to last

If it is a Latex concrete floor paint, you can use the glitter paint on top of it. However; it may not last for long because of foot traffic since it was not designed to be a floor paint.

So far my (small) wall behind the toilet looks streaky. I've applied two coats and I'm hoping the third coat of glitter paint will provide a better look. I'm not super thrilled right now.
