Great progress, it's good to see all the panels beginning to get welded in place! As far as weld through primer is concerned I quit using it on old cars. I think coating the inside with epoxy primer and wax oil after welding, and seam sealing the outer joints is more important. Weld through primer is required by all modern manufacturers, but when I was working in a collision shop I would cut apart previous repairs that were only 1-2 years old and all the joints were rusting even though they had been coated with weld thru. Part of that has to do with the cheap recycled metal used on new cars, as I've also found rust on brand new vehicles that came in with transit damage, yet I've cut open 90+ year old vehicles that still had clean bare metal inside the seams.

I don’t like the weld through, I call it weld around primer because I find to get good welds you have to clean it off or mask off where you want to weld. The method you described is what I prefer.

Just stumbled onto your channel this morning. I like your approach to doing what you need to do, with the tools and skills you have at hand. I look forward to watching the rest of your back video catalogue. Subscribed 15 minutes into the video. Greeting from Bavaria, Germany!

It’s interesting to me that the original cab / floor support for your cab is different than the original cab / floor support on our 1948 3100 series. The different between yours and ours is the structural support for the cab bolt. The top of yours lacks horizontal to plate while ours is a fully enclosed bolt support.
