Lovely job keeping one of these beasties alive John! Carl is a bit of a legend, imo! My 2003 convertible XKR is in for a 'little' rust repair on October 3rd. I was first inspired to do the suspension rebuild by you channel, (and lots of other stuff too). Don't give up the day job, but the videos are genuinely, really very good!

Wonderfull workmanship john. And I’m 100% with you on the deletions. 👍. Pearl could look amazing. But so hard to predict how it will look until it’s done🤔 What colour tint would be in the pearl? I think the only pearl I’ve seen on a gun metal shade has been a pink

Hi John. Karl is a legend. His work is exceptional with no corners cut. I have decided against the pearl. I thought it was a big risk. I have wanted to do the deletions for a while. I cannot wait to see the result. Hopefully when I am back from my holiday the car will be finished

Same places as mine, I had a little bit of rust on the boot as well , the only thing I would have done different is got the garage to put more paint on ,maybe another 2 coats as the having a part respray, in the sun a very slight different colour or should have the hole car painted

They all rust in the same places eventually. I am glad you got yours done too. I agree with the paint application which is why I opted for the full respray. I have asked for an additional cost of lacquer to be applied also.

Hi. The calipers are standard XKR. I think the red ones came with an upgrade package that included 20 inch wheels. The calipers are identical though

At the moment I don't want to say. Karl is doing this in his spare time so the rate might be lower than other places. I want to confirm that Karl is happy for me to let everyone know the final cost before I share it.
