hey brother!! This thing has been repaired since this video, it was a combination of issues that caused the throttle linkage to swing too much and turn itself the other way, sickening.

Oh what a beautiful idle and 2speed run! I too have the 2.5R on my T-Max classic with the OS 11K carb and it is phenomenal

That linkage adjustment is so frustrating . I ate a lot of spur gears same way after a rebuild 😅 great video 👍

hey man! Yes, this was the first time I had an issue with the linkage like this. I've run many t-maxxes from this generation and the linkage post has never twisted itself like this. I attribute it to no EPA settings on the stock radio. I have since installed a proper radio with good EPA setting and reconfigured the linkage, we good to test again soon!>

Good morning New York from Connecticut. I have the same truck. I just picked up recently with the type R engine as you speak of. I noticed your crank case is missing one screw. There was a wire hooked up to an air leak. I love your channel love your energy. I think you’re a Sicilian or Italian man I believe. God bless America. I want to update this. I do see you held the air filter to see if there wasn’t an air leak. You’re really good with engines. Nicely done, brother.

Yo Dimitri I want to install a 18 CVR in my t maxx but the carb is the type that doesn’t really work for the t maxx throttle linkage setup. I don’t know how to explain it but o have no other spare carbs that fit.

hey bro! It sounds like you're running into rotary vs slide carb mounting issues. Well which model t-maxx are you working with, the pro 15 model is a rotary carb and anything t-maxx 2.5 and up is a slide carb. It's best to convert using the same carb setup, otherwise as you already see you will have trouble.

@@hybrid32494 so, it’s a 2.5 t maxx ( about 15 years old, not the latest classic edition ) so I found out you can run a rotary carb setup. I recently got a T maxx .15 from @Go Fast RC and I robbed the linkage off of that. Thanks for the help, I will be putting a big ol 3.3 into the .15 so that will use the slide carb linkage i removed from the 2.5.

LOL, hey my dude! In this case you're 100% right! ahaha. But hey, it ran perfect, only issue was related to a plastic part, engine is perfect after repairs.
