Thank you for this video. How do you know when you need to use wire for the boutonnière?
@FlowerSchool9 ай бұрын
That's an excellent question, KC! It really just depends on the type of boutonnière you plan to create and the mechanics it will need to be stable. One type of boutonnière that is likely wired and taped is the kind you pin to a lapel. Another type of boutonnière that you can create that doesn't require wiring and taping is the pocket square that can slip into the jacket pocket. We have a few examples on our Flowers to Wear playlist here: kzbin.info/aero/PLJbJF6YZAYyJR_kKJA8x2l0lPTTwg30My We hope this information helps you create the perfect pieces for each occasion. Thank you for stopping by to watch our show. Wishing you all the best and hope you have a lovely Easter weekend!

How do you attach the Twine to the tape ??? are both side sticky ??? . I h ave been wanting to make something other than rose buds on sticks .
@FlowerSchool4 жыл бұрын
That's an excellent question, Alexi! The secret is that long piece of twine at the beginning that Leanne left pointing up towards the flowers. The floral tape is only sticky on one side (the side applied to the stems) but if you wrap the twine tightly enough around the tape and the stems, it will stay perfectly in place and then you can use the two ends of twine to tie it off when you are finished wrapping. We hope this information helps and inspires you to create something new. Thanks so much for watching our show today and we look forward to seeing you again very soon. Wishing you all the best and have fun making boutonnieres!

Question: how early can you do the flowers (boots, brides bouquet etc) before a wedding and and be certain everything looks fresh?
@FlowerSchool6 жыл бұрын
Great question! Depending on refrigeration and flower types you can begin work on Wednesday for a weekend event.

So I could definitely do the bridesmaids and brides bouquets the night before? Or should I wait until the morning of? Wedding is at 3:00pm.

Thank you for your help! I love your site!

If you have the luxury of waiting until the morning of the wedding, that would be best.
