Glorious! I would dub this arrangement “rustic elegance.” Rustic can mean plain or simple but here it means the combination of dried seed pods and some less exotic flowers. But, with Teacher Leanne’s skilled artistry the elegance is achieved. Thank you for some valued “self care” today! 🌷💜 Chere

Such a great video. Thanks for that! 🥰I would like to get some Tips for the storage of flowers and when to arrange. Especially during hot summer season. Like we have now in Berlin/ Germany.🐻 Especially if you don’t have a very ‘cool and chilled’ store or storage. 🙃 thank you! mel

Great question mel.berlin! A small window air conditioner or portable air conditioner would work in a small area to keep the flowers cool. You can section off a corner of the room with curtains to keep that area cool so you are not cooling the whole store. If you are an event florist then think about arranging the flowers a no more than a day or two ahead. If you send out daily arrangements then possibly design the arrangements the same day.

What is the brand of the chicken wire you recommend. I have noticed that some of the chicken wires are very thick and hard. Any recommendations? Thank you.

That's another excellent questions, Brenda! Leanne uses floral netting that is available through floral wholesalers at the Portland Flower Market. It works best for floral design because it is specifically coated to prevent rust. You want floral netting that is somewhat flexible so you can bend it into the shape you need. If it is a bouquet, it needs to be sturdy enough to carry the weight of the flowers too. We hope this information proves useful for you. So glad to see you as always, and we invite you to join us again whenever you have the time. Please take care and keep working with flowers!
