Thank you very much for posting this. My father and I worked along side each other in a wet extraction situation gravel pit and I operated the conveyors whilst my brother operated one of these draglines. We were using one of these Rustons and also a Smiths Rodley

This was interesting but why drag the bucket kinda of skooting across the ground Safety in the U.s they pull it up and secure to Crane not to swing

It stops the machine swinging when travelling - obviously the slew brake needs some attention . . . The house lock was an optional item.

Love watching this but I’m not sure if the operator was new to this machine or what My dad could run circles around him That’s all he did his whole life is run a dragline We had an 88 B and a 71 B we did big government jobs with
