so for the monkey puzzle, the amount of times they pressed the cymbals meant which monkey to click next. so the first order was 1, 2, 3. for example, if a monkey played the cymbals 3 times it meant to click the third monkey, 2 for the second and so on

There’s a similar puzzle in Cube Escape: Theater, along with other references to Rusty Lake Hotel and other previous games that I won’t spoil for you. I’m looking forward to seeing you play Birthday and Theater, they’re my favorites and they’re coming up next! Also, you did really well with the ingredients for a first playthrough! It’s hard to naturally get all of the lobby ingredients especially, because they only appear on one night each, and to get them in time for their corresponding recipes, you need to visit the guests in the order of Deer, Rabbit, Pigeon, Pheasant, and Boar.

Since the Rusty Lake developers knew that not everyone may have played Rusty Lake Hotel and/or have found the secret code for Birthday in that game, they also hid the secret code in another game in the Cube Escape Collection: There is a tiny picture of a snow globe (with the code) on the cigar box in Harvey's Box. This is very fitting, since it was Harvey who brought the cigars to Mr. Owl!
@Casin10 ай бұрын
Love this game because you can easily play it alone without knowing about the other Rusty Lake games. For a perfect run: The first optional ingredient is always found in the lobby before you go to the rooms, either during the day or night. The ingredient tells you which recipe to go for so that you’ll know who to kill that night. The second optional ingredient is always found inside the room.

This is one of my favorites! Easily Top 3 out of all the games! The hotel is in a couple other games on the island in the middle of the lake, we see a lot of these characters so it was nice seeing everyone come together. This is also the first game with Rusty Lake in the title so there is the first game none of our "human" characters and it provides a little bit of context for the animal characters in the Rusty Lake series.
@gregputnam724310 ай бұрын
So the main lore behind this game is that each character wants to figure the scheme or the thing around Rusty Lake and they each have motive for something against Mr. Owl. Owl wants to get rid of them by whatever means necessary so he has hired us. Without too much away that could connect to other games, we know each character has something because there is something in their room to explain why they are at the Lake.

In regard to the animals eating meat, boar and pigeons are omnivores, while pheasants can eat it, in the same way pigeons can, though it’s usually in the form of human leftovers. Deer and rabbits have also been known to eat meat but the circumstances are exceptional and rare when it does happen. So, in short, it can happen, but animals generally prefer to stick to their dietary preferences, especially given that plants only need to be found and not chased down.

I didn't like that if you missed something or did the guest rooms in the wrong order, it could lock you out of fully completing the game and the black "loading" screens between areas drove me nuts. (Honestly without the tedium of getting around between areas I might have completed it despite finding it middling.) The actual game-play wasn't bad, but what you had to do to get ingredients just felt super nonsensical and obtuse even for Rusty Lake standards. But really, my main gripe was the navigation and that you could get hard-locked out of game completion pretty easily. @@lydialuvs
