Your attention to detail is amazing. You make this look so easy I hope others will do this. Thank you for sharing this. I'm very impressed! The little details you do truly makes the difference between cleaning it up and making it a tool again.
@marcmckenzie51106 жыл бұрын
Really enjoyed this video & the way you approached the restoration. I'm just getting started on this and noticed the detailed differences in how various people work. Like others, how you sharpened teeth in the jaws, pushed the rivet using your vise, and even routine things you've put methodology around like the electrolysis rig are noteworthy. What I especially liked is that you use a high-speed multi-tool to get into the less visible but perhaps more critical areas to ensure clean function! Very nice!

First: a beautiful job of restoration. Second - do you shop at Kaufland. Looks like good prices for produce. (I love the internet). Annie
@TheSmallWorkshop6 жыл бұрын
I don't shop there very often, they are a bit far from me than other similar shops are. But I get their fliers in the mail and keep them for such projects since they are the only company still using the large format of paper, most of the other shops sent smaller, A4/letter sized fliers. I usually shop at carrefour and sometimes at lidl, since they also have nice, cheap tools from time to time :D
A nice restoration project, I use white vinegar and get similar results, not sure about the paint I also like the bare metal look
@TheSmallWorkshop6 жыл бұрын
I suppose the red paint makes them easier to find in a cluttered construction site.

alex sh menghina am sudat-o deja de un disc de fier, ca o baza, intr-un clip anterior. Imi e mai utila asa.
@sudorpebomba6 жыл бұрын
Nu stiu cum de am ratat clipul. Buna idee cu discul. Stii cumva daca surubul ala e asa indoit by design,sa permita deschiderea. sau au fost chinuite?
@TheSmallWorkshop6 жыл бұрын
Am vazut ambele variante, si cu surub drept si indoit. Cele cu surub drept au un slot sau gaura ovalizata sa permita surubului sa schimbe unghiul. Cred ca ale noastre au avut surubul curb din fabrica.

@TheSmallWorkshop5 жыл бұрын
Red paint helps locating the tool in a messy construction site. Also glossy red was the original color the tool had when it was made.
