Chad, I'm 61 years old and started my first build and KZbin channel ever, this past Christmas, around the same time I discovered your channel. I have learned so many tips, tricks and techniques watching you and Jolene! I mention you and give credit to you, in just about every one of my KZbin episodes. 18 so far! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and "just do it", encouragement!

Steady progression, first the floor, next the rocker panels, and now the quarter panels. Most old cars need this work, in one form or another. This is right up my alley. The Olds is looking so much better. Thank you again Chad and Joline.

Chad and Jolene, you both work super hard to do what you love. The car is shaping up. It would be fun to see Jim's progress on the car when he decides to work on it. The car is growing on me the more you work on it...A new life is being given to the car with the floor, sills, and quarter panel work. I bet Jim is daydreaming about his new Field Rocket Racer. The idea of it is a hoot! Thanks for teaching us your tricks of the trade.

I dig Chad's show. He makes you feel welcome. He's engaging with onlookers like Bob Ross was. I feel like a wingman. Just an inert hang-around who's sitting on the bus seat over by the wood stove, finishing off that big doobie from yesterday. Sitting just off camera, watching Chad work his magic. The unemployed friend from next door who hangs out professionally, and walks over with his coffee at 7:45 every morning to see what ole Chaduderino us up to.

Chad is doing such a great job turning this rusty junker back into a real car, I really hope Jim decides NOT to just bash it around in the dirt and mud in his fields, but instead continue to move forward on the body, paint and interior work, to put it back on the road. A '57 Olds 2-dr hardtop is far from being just any old car - it is a very scarce, beautiful and sought-after car that deserves a little care and respect!
@monadking27613 жыл бұрын
Good job as usual! Try taking an old vise grip pliers and weld a 1/2 inch small half round pipe on both side of the jaws so they mate with each other. This way you can radious the edge easier of your wheel well lip and clamp rounded edges to fit better. It will not leave the jaw marks on the sheet metal.

That was a great comment on how you should look at big project. Don’t think of the whole situation, just a fender and door at a time. If you do that, you won’t get burned out or discussed! Brake it down in small sections, and you will progress with confidence......
