I like the shorts, but seeing all of them in a continuous video is fantastic. The attention to future rust prevention is thorough, and educational. If I had to do it all over Id use panel bond instead of so much spot welding, but its worth separating the outer skin to get it all cleaned up. Getting the hinges right is definitely the trickiest part. Good luck!

There are a lot people don't know how much is difficult to do it and fixed a sheet metal after years under corrosion attack and bad mechanic to fixed some parts!!! Very fine workmanship. FYI when chemical stripping place a sheet of 1.4 mil plastic over the top. It helps the stripper to penetrate deeper, and faster. It also cuts down on the fumes.

Ive had a few doors practice to get this one right, it was the last door of the bus. Metal can be manipulated and shaped, if it doesn't fit right just keep working it until it does!

Cool bus. I just recently bought a 62 11 window bus, thankfully it’s not to rusty. That’s a pretty epic door repair!!!! I restored a 67 13 window for a customer a few years back. You sure like a challenge, I will give u that.

Dude you are a master at metalwork, I had to do the same thing but I tool the easy way out and bought new skins and frames from Gerson. Still a lot of work getting the skin to look right but I love seeing your techniques. I learn something everyday by videos like this . thanks!

As usual, great job! And congrats on your first full video on the bus resto, I look forward to seeing more like this. Don't change your cinematics, I love your style of shooting and editing. Just a little tip, go to a VW meet and ask if you can take crucial measurements of the main body. Like the A to B pillar distance, don't rely on the IGP doglegs for measurements.
