Rusty's enthusiasm is huge.Stardom was his destination from the start. It's one of many things that made me a Rusty for all that time. I wish I could tell him how much the memories mean to me.

It's great to see Rusty make the Hall Of Fame. I miss watching him race but it's nice to see him on ESPN. He was a great "old-school" driver who now stands beside the best of all time and rightfully so. Thanks to Bill W., Bill P., Glenn, and everybody else for bringing me out to the races. It was a real treat to watch Rusty, Mark Martin, Sterling Marlin, Dale Earnhardt, the Labontes, Dale Jarrett, Jeff Gordon, and all the rest of the great drivers of that time (too many to name) down in Pocono, PA. Congrats Rusty, you surely deserve it!

27:50 Dale Earnhardt and Dr Jerry Punch saved his life at Bristol in 1988

I feel like if it wasn’t for Earnhardt this man would have way more championships. He was very consistent back in the day

Also if it wasn’t for Earnhardt and Dr Jerry Punch he’d be dead

I worked at DIS 1996-2006 as part of the security/safety teams. One of my uncles was an executive for one of Rusty Wallace's sponsors. Thus, I got to know Rusty Wallace fairly well over the years.

He mentioned Earnhardt once about pulling his windshield out after the wreck in practice! Thought for sure he'd be given dale a few more mentions and credits for the rivalry and competition that usually make the best of the opposition and drive them to greatness!

One of the best, although he could have earned another championship and a Daytona 500 win. He had a great career with 55 victories and the 1989 NASCAR Winston Cup (now Sprint Cup) Series championship. An outstanding driver who could have gotten more, but took what he had did the best with it. The original Blue Deuce.

Onone of the most consistent drivers in my opnion. I remember growing up seeing the results and he was always in top 5 in or top ten. has also won one race a year for 14 years.
@Greg4fun11 жыл бұрын
I really wish he had gotten a Daytona 500 win. He was right there a few times just never could pull it off. The true king of the Bull Rings though. No one was better on the short tracks in the 80s and 90s than Rusty Wallace!

him and stewart never won at daytona, but look at their record

Rusty was an aggressive but car smart driver who knew alot about chassis setup n shocks n stuff about race cars. One of the Best in Nascar period.

one of my Absolute Favorites The Original Blue Deuce Driver. He was the Master at Short Tracks like Bristol and Martinsville and Always Contented at The Point Standings Could've won more Cup Championships even with Penske Racing at least Once. but like his old Buddy and fellow ASA Alumni and Nascar HOFer Mark Martin he never won the Daytona 500. His 1993 Season was incredible

10:17 is the face you make when you're caught between Fatback mode and Michael McSwain. He looks like an unhappy old lady in the church choir. Love that guy.

Big money more than multicar teams. Big money comes in spending cubic dollars to win a small purse, and it all goes to shit. John Force did it to drag racing.
@ballyman128 жыл бұрын
Was Jeff Gordon ever not a part of a MULTI CAR TEAM?
@sevendst197 жыл бұрын
Maybe when he ran in the Busch series. He was always on at least a 3 car team in NASCAR with Hendrick.

Yes, when he drove for Bill Davis in the Busch series
