I was skeptical about this restoration being real or not at first glance, but after seeing all that pitting, I can safely say that this gun was unfortunately covered in and corroded by real rust.

Usually I’d complain about you using a wire wheel instead of a carding wheel. However the finish was too far gone… this restoration was… *ok* I’d say… wall hanger only tho

I don't think it's fake as in fake rust, more fake as in he has a whole team doing work behind the camera. Look at the massive surface damage on the finished piece. Fake rust doesn't do that.
