I bought a new old stock SL*25 on ebay a week ago. Was very happy with the find and cheap price! Unfortunately the seller didn't pack it very well it finally reached me today as a box of glass shards. Very disappointed, but maybe I can do something with the base like you've done here!

Hi Ray, it came up pretty well I think. I have it on in the shed and will see how that 18 Watt tube handles it, should be ok as its not getting too warm. Are you in Australia yet? Hope you have a good time at the rocket event, would loved to have come over if I knew it was on. Cheers, Ian
