Nice board, and great channel, Rusty. I've been playing electric guitar at church for 20 years now but since recently discovering your channel I am exploring reverb and delay for the first time! Always been a huge fan of tremolo pedals, and that has really been my only "effect"... sounds so nice during quieter passages of songs... but now trying out the whole ambient vibe... inspiring! Thanks for sharing your talent and passion with us. God Bless.

Right on Stephen! We can keep working on this stuff together! Thanks for taking the time to watch my videos 🙏

Our keyboard player had a Big Sky - excellent but pricey. I’ve started using delay, reverb and chorus. You’re spot on about needing to be versatile and that’s fun! I also use mild distortion (rock amp) when the worship cranks up

Thx Rusty that’s one heck of an effects board. I bought one of the Rocket pedals because you have one I’ve heard on the other channel. Archer. That’s it . Peace ☮️ and love to you and yours.

Have you considered a compressor and a switcher? Really like your setup a lot and that Volante! I love mine but do find that it doesn’t always cut through live. For compressor I have used the dynamic FX in my H9 and have been impressed - but I don’t like to stack so much AD/DA in sequence. The fat-Strat approach is often perfect and yeah - big fan of those Pearly Gates.
@TheWorshipGuitarChannel26 ай бұрын
I do have a switcher and compressors. And I use them at times. But with that Wiza tube amp expander I can turn the amp up very loud so it’s already compressing. And then as I add any drive stages it compresses even more. So I don’t usually use a compressor pedal for that reason. but I often use a gig rig G2 switcher on my board. Thanks for checking out the video.🙏

Wonderful sounds. Notice you don't appear to have a noise gate. How do you avoid the hum from those Strat single coils?
@TheWorshipGuitarChannel27 ай бұрын
You’re right I don’t use a noise gate. The rig is very quiet. But I always turn my volume down when I’m not playing. Thanks for checking out the video.🙏

Rusty! My man, love the pedals! I gotta question for ya. I get rather tired of playing the same chords and progressions in a worship set. What are some things that you would do to spice things up some, while still staying true to the song? Arpeggios, Dyads, Triads? Do you have a video covering this already?
@TheWorshipGuitarChannel27 ай бұрын
Most of my videos are on that very topic. Using scales, triads and double stops to create rhythm and lead lines. Thanks a lot for all your support.🙏

If I played that distortion in my church they’d ask me to leave.😂🤣 We are about 40% between the age of 55-65. 20% over 65. It’s all clean. So careful with a little chorus, octave reverb, delay, and tremolo.
@TheWorshipGuitarChannel27 ай бұрын
I totally understand! You have to play what’s appropriate for your church and for the songs that you’re playing also. Thanks so much for checking out my video.🙏

@@TheWorshipGuitarChannel2 Those strymon pedals are my dream pedals,however it is beyond my budget...better to focus on how to play better blues guitar....

How do you find the Klon clone, Rusty? My Wish Klon works very well as a boost pedal, but not great as an overdrive pedal, so much so that I wondered if it was working properly. Then I saw a vid that said you need distortion on your amp for it to drive that. I’ve yet to try it driving a distortion pedal.

@stephenrongner-cook54547 ай бұрын
Those Strymon pedals are fantastic, and have a price tag to match... but honestly you can get in the same ballpark with much less expensive pedals. I'm a huge fan of high quality budget pedals as my funds are limited. There are good products out there for short cash, just do some research and you'll find a bunch.
