I had the wind, you'll notice he never found me. . . sorry for the focus, he was just so close i could not keep focus at f4. . .

Thanks Dustin, it's just so darn crisp and real, and the bulls in the background and the huffing of this little guy really makes it emotional! He was so close i could not keep it focused so you'll here me switch it to auto focus for a bit, which did not work well either . . . Awesome fun though!

it's really simple, they taste good and hunting is an important part of wildlife management in today's world. without hunting our wildlife and outdoor world would look much different. Hunters have supplied much of the money, time, labor, and effort to build back the populations we have today. Illegal take and poaching around the glob is the real threat to the future of wildlife . . .

Why is it that people who don't eat meat or don't like the killing of animal always have to leave some long winded message about how they feel what a hunter is doing is wrong go post that somewhere else and nobody cares that runners don't eat meat.

It's not though. Obviously yes, it's great that the animal is free. But just because it has lived a better life doesn't mean it justifies it's death. Imagine someone shooting another person, using every part of them and justifying it by saying they had a good free life. The fact you have the internet shows you're not in a 100% survival situation which would justify killing and eating another animal. You don't need meat to live a healthy life. A lot of top endurance athletes don't eat meat.

God clothed Adam and Eve with animal skins. Maybe that means nothing to you, but it shows me that animals are subordinate to human beings. Hunting manages wildlife in a responsible manner and has rebuilt elk herds. Elk supply delicious, high quality protein. You have the freedom to be a vegan and others should have the freedom to eat meat.
