@@joebiggs4387Billy was truly one of the greatest men of God. Through one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, some people, including me, are able to DISCERN that (1 Corinthians 12:7-10) Jesus Christ does not dispute being rich. In the verse you are referencing I believe Jesus meant that it is hard for most rich people to enter the kingdom of God as most idolize their worldly richness thereby struggling to prioritize, love, honor and serve God wholeheartedly. I believe He meant that rich people set their identity anf hearts on their worldly richness instead of striving to have a personal relationship with God as we ought to. God says we should take care of the needs of the poor at various levels. And we won't be able to do that in lack. In conclusion. I believe God can bless you financially. However, your finances ought not be your God. When you prioritize your call. God will instruct you on how to be a blessing to others with your finances. All for His Glory. 🙏🏽 I hope this changes your perspective on being rich. Better yet. Inquire with the Lord on the matter. So here’s a story I got from another fellow KZbin commenter, I’m not going to disclose their name, but I thought it might give a different perspective: “When I was a young boy, Billy Graham had a religious advice column. He gave a woman a piece of advice that I will Never forgive him for. It was from a woman whose husband regularly beat her. He had been beating her for decades, and she was at the end of her rope. She said that she didn't know how she could go on living, that she had lost hope of her husband being less violent towards her, and that she had prayed for years without any help from God. She asked Billy Graham what she should do. Did Billy Graham tell her to go to the police? Did he suggest she go to a woman's shelter? No. He told her that she should endure, and continue to pray for her husband, as a supportive Christian wife should. That was his advice to this poor Christian who made the mistake of writing to him. I always wished that I could have somehow written to her and told her not to listen to this idiot's advice, and to escape immediately. I'm sure she continued to make a fine punching bag for her husband, until she died of abuse or until he died, forever unpunished. Without God ever intervening to help her. Or Billy Graham convincing her to escape her lifelong hell. That is how Billy Graham deserves to be remembered. With utter contempt at his inhuman hypocrisy.”

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. His life, imputed within, is one of the many things that takes place in the life of a Christian the moment he trusts in Christ as Saviour. He is taken out of Adam and placed IN Christ. What an incredible contrast there is between the first earthly man - Adam and the second heavenly Man - the Lord Jesus Christ. All that are born IN Adam are dead in their trespasses and sin, estranged from God and without hope in the world. But in His grace God sent His only begotten Son as the one and only sin-substitute for the entire race of fallen humanity. Anyone with half a heart will choke back tears. So many people hungry to hear a clear, unfiltered, undiluted message of love. Nobody has time for that in America anymore. The fact that Johnny gives Billy a moment to calmly explain the gospel, heaven and even hell without any serious interruption right there on the show tells all. Factually, 99% of church-goers are more or less just like Billy Graham - relatively calm, patient and seeking to bring a message of hope. But look as we may, we will not find such a fairly-broadcasted presentation of the Judeo-Christian worldview in our day, where Christians are depicted as axe-murderers. Times have truly changed. Great to see Billy Graham, not only true to his faith and God but relaxed, candid and also light hearted in his interactions here. Thank you Lord for Billy and the great evangelism and preaching he brought to the world at your behest. 🙏

I saw this episode live. Absolutely the most respectful I have ever seen Johnny. Dr. Graham was simply the most intelligent, interesting man I'd ever heard speak.

Loved seeing this! There will never be another Billy Graham on Johnny Carson - both great in their own special way. I haven't seen Late Night talk shows in years - nothing nowadays can come close to the humor and enjoyment of Johnny Carson.

They both had respect to listen to each other.

I've never seen Johnny show such nerves and reverence towards anyone he had on his show before. Carson will always be the best there ever was behind that desk.

Fantastic interview. I loved the way Billy explained things in an easy to understand way. Johnny did a fabulous job interviewing him.
