Van Nistelrooy stepping aside makes sense. Amorim has a proven, trusted coaching team he’s worked with for years, bringing continuity and a clear tactical approach. Keeping Van Nistelrooy around would only risk mixed messages and undermine Amorim's authority. If we want a fresh start, the manager needs his own people fully aligned with his vision from day one.

I think there will be a lot of speculation around transfers in January, butt United were linked to a lot of players in the summer and it wasn't until deals were almost done that we actually had an idea of what INEOS were doing. Now that Amorim is coming in it creates even more questions around transfer targets.
