Rudy Krol is my most favorite Dutch player of all time, and this is arguably the best clip that shows his great skills as one of the best defenders of all time. In terms of long accurate passes, he is even better than Beckenbauer. Although he was a right footed player, I haven't seen a naturally left footed player who could cross and curve a ball at high speed better than Krol, the way he did against Brazil and provided the opportunity for Cruyff to score the 2-nd goal.

@ my 11 in a 4-4-2 is : Dasaev, Maldini, Beckenbauer, Baresi, Krol. Matthaus, Socrates, Cruyff, Zidane. Klinsmann and Romario.

The best defender I've even seen for all round skills. Excellent at full-back, sweeper and coming out with the ball when it was 'on', and his long range passing. As well as Franz Beckenbauer, honourable mentions at this time for Vladislav Bogicevic, Luis Pereira and Marius Tresor.

Student of great Velibor Vasović,great defender and great video as always Barbosa!!Maybe do video of Vasović next if you can???He made Ajax relevant and competitive and hes reason they are great club,was their best player at time and first foreign captain(as soon as he learnt Dutch he got more votes to be captain than Cruyff,Neeskens,Krol combined),man was rated higher than Beckenbauer and Moore when he played but is not even mentioned now for some reason..
