Or they will use silver cutlery. It is just impossible, that someone just poisoned the food if he/she wants. A story should based on logic and history. And after all, let's say, it IS possible to poison the Queen and the baby. Jia has no reason to do that, because she is a gift from korea and she will never! never! never! be the Queen. And her son will never! never! never! be the crown prince. So why should she poison the baby or the queen?

It makes sense with previous context: Several sons, and a few consorts were murdered specifically because they were born male. Of the current members of the Harem, Jia has the highest count and Ruyi knows it. There's a later comment that Halian believed if she didn't poison herself someone would have tried to poison her to further their goals. If it's a princess it's not a threat as much as a prince.

Jias son can NEVER be the King. even all other prince are dead, in the case, they will adopt someone from other royal relatives. PLZ read some history book about Qing dynasty, there is no discuss, if Jia can be Queen or Dowager or whatever. The royal family will just NOT allowed something like this happen😂😂😂
