Ruyi's stepdaughter had truly seemed to understand and agreed with what Ruyi had done to her Dad shown by her facial expressions. She did understand moreso than anyone else within that room with her Dad and Ling. She had seemed to admired and respect Ruyi moreso for her actions in setting herself free as Empress. His daughter was not disappointed nor anger by any means but she had actually agreed in respect with Ruyi in this moment. She had finally been truly respectfully in calling Ruyi her Royal Mother after seeing Ruyi's face and body expressions that she seemed to respect and honor. It does seems Ruyi had done what herself has wanted to do yet she had never been strong enough to do herself. This is why I do believe where her feelings of respect and honor towards Ruyi finally comes from because she has felt same as Ruyi herself for long time now. Ruyi has finally put herself first in life over Royalty obligations towards her failed marriage of abuse in distrust, dishonesty , disloyalty and disrespect from her own Royal husband who has treated herself cruelty and unfairly for so many long years. Ruyi had much more patience and loyalty towards him moreso than myself after such cruelty abusive unfairly mistreatments in all of those long years. I would had deeply hated him and wanted nothing to do with him just as much as I had deeply hated my abusive biological father up til day that he had died. I had only felt relieved and happiness of being finally truly free from looking over my shoulder in worry and fear for my son moreso than myself. I had never wanted him in my son's life after I had survived his cruelty parental abused within my own childhood until he had loss his parental rights to myself after he had threatening to murder me.

I never notice before how the Princess-afterall these years called Ruyi mother. I think, after years and years and finally returning to the palace to see her family, she realised Ruyi was not the reason for her marriage and Ruyi was perhaps not an evil person as her mother had painted her out to be. Moreover, I think this is a great example of a child seeing their parents fight and realising something massive has happened. She had never seen Ruyi look and behave that way and it scared her, but she was also concerned for her father because she knew how much Ruyi supposedly meant to him. Like it or not, he had chosen Ruyi as his wife and Empress. It makes the princess seem more childish and finally recognising Ruyi as her step-mother-i suspect she probably had done over a long period of time but today it finally was forced out of her by the shock. Ruyi never bothered the princess because she knew she was only her step mum. She had no right or authority (even though she could have done if she so wanted) she just let the princess hate her and be a brat because Ruyi is kind and understanding. As for the emperor, he hit Ruyi more times then anyone else, he shamed her over and over again. I'm so glad Ruyi walked away and never returned to him.

Ruyi literally told him to shove the job title of Empress up his @$$ and quit on the spot. This scene is so well-acted. She held on for so long because Qianlong meant so much to her but she threw away the Empress title with no hesitations because it had no worth for her. She was truly only Empress because of her love for him.

未免过分解读了。公主一共没说几句，称如懿为皇额娘不过是在皇帝面前的礼数罢了。脸上只不过是震惊和担心皇上，哪里能解读出心疼如懿了。和小说基本一致，她是永远不可能和如懿有任何理解和共鸣。

也有可能只是对皇上很失望而已，身为皇后和公主她也知道有需要履行的义务就像当初她的母亲一样。但是看到又一个皇后也最终走向和她母亲一样的下场还是会觉得很心寒吧。再者她也清楚这件事是皇上的错可是就因为他是皇帝所以就算是皇后也不能改变什么，心里可能还是会联想到自己母亲也遇到过类似的事但是又因为也是公主也不能直接和皇帝翻脸所以也很无奈。对如懿最多也可能是一时同情罢了。但是毕竟她也记得她的母亲的死所以也不可能能放下仇恨，最终她只能不再理会但也不会再去特地至如懿于死地也是她最大的仁慈了。
