Great points! After I dump the black tank I always add about 3-5 gallons of water just to the black to be safe.

Cinder blocks will get a hair line crack and bust.It doesn’t take much of a blow to crack them.Treated 2x12 pieces stacked much better choice.I prefer them due to elevation always different.😊.

@@2hotscottpro 2x12 definitely a great choice, it scared the heck out of them when the cinder block gave way and busted the two front jacks. I was hours away from them when it happened so really couldn’t help.

Great video. I have seen some crazy stuff with people using leveling gizmos. As for the hollywood block. Who wants to be messing around with something that heavy? Sheesh. I have 4 wheel chocks, 1 side is not enough. I use the plastic lego squares for my stabilizers, and prefer wood to go under the tires. I also have the gizmos that you crank out, that go in between the tires. We have a checklist for pre and post setup and hook up. Based on how much that travel trailer has traveled, I wonder how often they have maintained the tire bearings, brakes, and even changed the tires depending on their age and wear? A flat tire is one thing but a fried wheel bearing is not good at all. Would love to see you tear into the tires, brakes, and bearings.

@@saltytrips I just removed the glass shower doors on our Cougar. Same one you have. I no longer trusted them staying locked in place and the potential of them shattering while we travel.

actually we like to keep both our black and grey valves closed. We know after many trips that we are good for at least 5 nights without dumping. This achieves two things. First the black tank is quite full by then which means it flushes out really well, and secondly I then have a quite full grey tank to flush through the hose after the black is done. Helps keep the hose a little cleaner. Not saying this is necessarily best practice, but it is what we do and we have never had any issue. Keep up the nice work.
