I would try to put the mini split up higher where it's harder to reach. Also, for security reasons I would want a functioning cut through from the cab to the box. You need access so you can get out quick in an emergency without having to go outside the vehicle. Someone could steal your truck and you would be stuck in the back. I think where you are cops turn a blind eye because of the very high cost of living and homeless population. In many parts of the country this would be more difficult. Florida is cracking down on their very large homeless population. I'm not sure if they would consider a van or other vehicle that is not an RV as a home. Especially if it's parked on public streets or parking lots.

fantastic video. Wow! Thanks, really great info. So, sad to say, when I look at these night time locations, honestly, they are almost all just ugly: homeless, parking lots, worried about the cops and complaints. It really shows me that van life is not easy. I can see how you would want to, sometimes, just park and stay in a motel--the hassle of driving around trying to find places is something that van life videos really don't do justice. In fact, when I think about it, trying to find a place to stay "free" can occupy several hours along with stress and tension,, and that's something really exhausting trying to deal with. The other issue for me as a single guy is finding someone romantically that wants this type of lifestyle. Most women really like some comfort to their sleeping arrangements.

I went to San deigo recently, just so I could cross the border to get some dental work. I camped in my yukon for 5 days while going to mexico 3 days in a row. One night I parked just on a city street steath camping, and the next morning after waking up I noticed my white yukon had Blood all over the side if it. Like kimd of a lot, it was splattered, but id didn’t look like it could have possibly been from hitting something, it was on the rear quarter panel, it was a real head scratcher I still have no idea how it got there, i slept all night and never heard a thing.

It’s important to keep moving I never park in the same spot twice it’s also important to have your van security secured & a defence weapon install 360 cameras on your van so you don’t have to get out of the van to see what’s happening because that can be dangerous

RV living has become a major issue in California. Maybe we need a little more regulation when it comes to RV paring in areas
@nomadbrad503Ай бұрын
california loves regulating their citizens. im sure a lot more is coming

@ not without justification. RV parking and the unhoused crisis has caused serious safety concerns. RVs have been dumping sewage in the streets and leaving other hazardous materials. I have seen several RV fires threaten homes with people inside. I know want to do whatever you want, but consider its impact on these communities

Your box truck is very incognito. Honestly no one would ever suspect someone was sleeping in there, much less that it's basically a motorhome inside. I am looking to sell my house soon and do something similar.

Would be nice to acknowledge how much of a TV sound comes outside of the van since light is blocked by the window railing. Other then that nice work, i felt a bit creepy at some moments but it's fine I guess :D gl to you and shout out to San Diego 🤠

You need access from the cab to the back so much better than having to go to the back door.

when i was a kid i dont remember seeing any homeless people because you could work part time and rent a room somewhere, nowdays, you could have a well paying job and have trouble finding just a room to rent, let alone an apartment, thats why i left california for Pittsburgh, Pa area in 2012, i paid 25k cash for my 1,100 sq ft house.
