While the commercial appearance of your vehicle helps you blend in anywhere, it also puts you at risk. Lots of robbers and criminals target commercial vehicles because they expect there to be lots of expensive tools and equipment inside. Your biggest threat is not a police officer asking you to move-your biggest threat is attracting criminals. I would recommend adding a far heavier duty door and 360 cams around your vehicle so that you know what is going on outside. I would also recommend adding some sort of panic alarm in case somebody tries to rob you while you are in the cab.

Try living in a work truck and sleep in the back cab for years while living in Texas saving up and helping family with their bills. Yeah the go to for sleeping is either at planet fitness with membership for showers/restroom and other stuff but you have to rotate like in a commercial area. Of course if you have commercial vehicle you will blend in. There are some gas station that will let you sleep overnight but not living there. Some walmart will let you park overnight and some don't. Home Depot usually will let you park overnight. Camping area is too far from town but it's a good place to stay on your days off or during holidays for privacy. It's not fun and it can be scary so have some protection and security wifi cameras

I would try to put the mini split up higher where it's harder to reach. Also, for security reasons I would want a functioning cut through from the cab to the box. You need access so you can get out quick in an emergency without having to go outside the vehicle. Someone could steal your truck and you would be stuck in the back. I think where you are cops turn a blind eye because of the very high cost of living and homeless population. In many parts of the country this would be more difficult. Florida is cracking down on their very large homeless population. I'm not sure if they would consider a van or other vehicle that is not an RV as a home. Especially if it's parked on public streets or parking lots.

I'm fixing up a 16' box truck to be a stealth truck too. I'm retaining the rear power lift gate for a porch, and a fake roll-up door to use as an awning for said porch. I would do exactly this when I close up for an evening in town, but I will be using cameras on all sides just so I don't have to reveal myself. For others. I've worked in security for decades in Canada. Thieves are cowards for the most part. Catch them in the act and their own shame at being caught drives them away. Yell through the window, stomp your feet, whatever these guys just doesn't want to be seen. If nothing else, tell them they're being recorded for the police. They'll run their asses off to avoid that.

Why place the outdoor AC unit in such a visible spot? That screams camper, though the rest of it is so well done.

when i was a kid i dont remember seeing any homeless people because you could work part time and rent a room somewhere, nowdays, you could have a well paying job and have trouble finding just a room to rent, let alone an apartment, thats why i left california for Pittsburgh, Pa area in 2012, i paid 25k cash for my 1,100 sq ft house.

It’s very if you’re living in your vehicle, make sure you move around you go park at a park until they close and then go park on some street by business or something. Try not to hang out with a bunch of other homeless because one person can ruin it for everybody And the cops don’t give tickets they give little stickers on your vehicle 72 hours you gotta move if you don’t move all those cops and those other cop, police vehicles and city vehicles to pick up trash pick you up move and take your vehicle and tow it but it’s doable and there are places you can park like state park state beaches There’s a couple dump stations just don’t dump your sewer or any of your water. Don’t let it leak into the ground cause that definitely throw a red flag up in between Chula Vista down by the light rail. There is a place where you can fill up your your butane tank and empty your sewer tanks and put freshwater in at least there was there about 12 years ago and it only cost you $10 an RV service place and you could buy stuff for your toilet to keep your toilet smelling good from that RV place state park for three days cost money to the beaches regular parking lot they close at a certain time police will chase you out of there at least 12 years ago they did but I was told they’re going back to the same routine and there is a church that’s got it a park first come first serve I’ll let you park in a parking lot. I forgot what church it is, most cars parked there people that live in their cars the only way I can give you is try to stay away from people that can’t hold their liquor or handle their drugs because once the cops called, they will mess with everybody and give us 72 hour notice to move, but I like your show, my friend you showing what you’re doing is showing it someplace it save some places OK

I'm surprised you don't have some outside cameras so you can see what's going on without having to go outside. It's really sad where there are a lot of homeless people in tents. Hopefully the economy will pick up now and people will start to get back to work and earning a good living in being able to afford housing of some sort.
