Excellent job in walking you step by step to clean out the drain pan, which was exactly what was causing our leak. Worked exactly as you said it would. I watched 3 or 4 other videos but this one was the best by far.

I attempted to clean my AC. I was intimidated & didn’t take off any covers other than the larger/overall cover. This video has given me the courage to access all the way to the drain pan. Thank youuuu! Looking forward to actually fixing it this go around. 🙌

Absolutely outstanding, well explained, detailed, great photography, step by step. I have a Class C that I strongly believe I am experiencing the same problem. Clogged A/C drain lines. Which are causing water to run down the roof and seep into and pool in the front over cab bunk area. I’ll go up, remove a/c cover and conduct a full assessment of the drain trays, water exit holes, etc. Thank you both so very much. Enjoy life, be blessed you both down in Mississippi👍🏻😉

Great video! I am from Mississippi also but live in Pennsylvania now. Born in Monticello and grew up in Silver Creek. I also have a drip from my air conditioner inside and believe this will help me tackle this problem. THANKS!

Turning off the A.C. was a good plan. Even better would be to disconnect the shore power before removing covers. That said, thanks for making the video. Very clear.

Had a leak this weekend on my 2022 Catalina summit. Water was getting drawn under the roof seal. All I did was tighten the mount bolts....no more leaks.

Thank you for the heads up. we are old, but hubby gets up on the roof now and then, the last two days we have had a leek, so I'll have him watch this video and we will see if it fixes our problem... I had about 1/2 cup of water come in, in less than 1 hr 1/2, hope this works

I did it! Thank you for the video! I just got done an hour ago. Once I had the right tools, screwdriver and my drill with the right bit, I got everything off very carefully. Couldn't get the drain pan out and it was full. Draining from the side of the a/c onto my roof. We ran a hose over it anyway with a nozzle at jet spray and then I used pressured air in a can round the bottom of the grill. I noticed the drain pan had drained. I am epileptic so I have to have assistance to a point and we got the covers back on. It didn't leak on to the roof anymore. Sucks that it is raining, but at least this time it isn't the air conditioner right? So the next phase will be to wait for a perfectly sunny, dry day so we can use soft scrub with bleach to clean the roof. We are gonna caulk around a certain hood and then???...I am going to use that cloth and roof sealer paint to seal that part of my roof again properly. I can't thank you enough. If I can do it then chances are you can too. Oh, and I cleaned the gutters while I was up there too.

Thanks I agree, I found one more thing someone at factory someone thought they were superman and over tighten the bolts that hold it to roof and compressed the gaskets so tight water could not get out of holes because they were pressed to roof top. Had to remove unit and install new square gasket.

My trough has this sponge like material x2 that runs under the evaporator coils but was still draining at the drain hose. Do not understand as film of sludge was under this material. Mach Air Coleman 7 . Thanks for video. .

I would like to THANK you for this video I’ve had fleet wood service center clean my front ac unit because of water coming down, & it was not rain 🌧 it was in hot summer around 98 to 💯! They could not fit the problem,even after two try’s! So we had another RV service man 👨 come out & clean the two ac for the same problem,he couldn’t fix it either so we do like you did with pans in the floor!! Glad to see this a lm going to try & see if I can fix

I have close to the same issue going on except mine is coming out of the speaker by the AC, inside the trailer. I've watched this video and several others and I can't seem to figure out why, or where, it's coming in at. Do you have any ideas?
@tavtelmedia4 жыл бұрын
On the caulking, I have an old unit and I went crazy with flex seal tape on the roof including around the AC unit. Bad move. It didn't allow for condensation to escape and it backed up into the unit and eventually in the ceiling and the walls. Good thing it was tape. I just sliced it an the crease and water came pouring out. So from what I've read and experienced, probably should leave the edges of the frame free. How did yours hold up after caulking? it's much newer than mine so may not have been an issue yet.

On to the R/V Roof then into the small gutters on top and down the Sides of the Travel Trailer.

Good video and great advice however, in the beginning you said use two pads, one for your knees and another to set your tools on. Later in the video you used both pads for your knees and set the drill and other tools right on the roof. So maybe bring three pads up on the roof with you lol.

Just explain how to fix the problem. No need to go into the mister obvious shit like, how to climb a ladder, the height, rocks in your shoes, other obvious stuff. OH Guess what. All that dripping of condensation inside your camper pretty much is rotting out your floor. I am sure that will be in a future Video. LMFAO....
