Hey Brittany! I agree with what some others have said about the warranty. Your home should be under warranty still for a year. If it were me I would be checking into that with your dealership or whom ever it over that part. I watch another KZbinr as well and she also bought a new RV home and she has had some issues with her home but she has been hitting up her warranty people and they have been fixing everything that she finds wrong with it since she bought it. Good luck and stay healthy and positive!

1. Get on a crawler & check under the trailer. 2. Trailer theft is bad. Get a hitch lock & cameras so you can monitor your trailer. You cannot trust campgrounds & parks. That’s where thieves go most. You were still tired when you bought your new place. You look totally different now. So don’t be hard on yourself. You did fine! Those are all fixable. ❤❤❤ I told ya you’d feel 100% better in a more updated & normalized space. And cops won’t pull ya over just to mess with you as easily in this set up. That worried me. Now you blend in with traffic. You’re doing great! Keep it up! Cya later!

You should have at least 12mos warranty. Make sure you take the unit back to the dealer for warranty repair. You should NOT pay for any of these repairs. Definitely wise to have someone with you. Like you, I moved from a larger motorhome to a tow vehicle and travel trailer. I REALLY enjoy being able to disconnect and drive my truck to see the sights. I now have the ability to visit places I never could have in the motorhome.

Purchased a travel trailer around the same time as you and in addition to the things you mentioned I would add not to shop on an empty stomach. I ended up having to leave the hookup demo midway thru because I’d been on the road getting to the dealership so long plus the hours you spend signing paperwork, inspecting, demoing, etc. means you need to be on your A game and def not skip meals. I would also say to compare your model to similar ones on the lot if possible. That’s how I found out things were missing of my trailer. I’ll know better next time and it’s all part of the learning process and I’m glad you’re sharing with others. In the meantime, pray the Most High keeps you safe on your journeys!

Hi Brittany! I agree with the other comments regarding warranty should be good for at least 1 year. I want to make the same suggestion I made to Nomadic Introvert; who also found issues with her RV; look into obtaining an extended warranty that covers bumper to bumper (electrical, sensors etc) before expiration. Note: don’t buy from seller; research and join a forum to get help and answers to any upgrades, where to get parts etc. Years ago, my Rover’s warranty was about to expire & they wanted to charge $10k for an “original” Rover warranty. I went to the forum and was lead to a dealership in another state and paid $1,200 for bumper to bumper along with sensors etc. My deductible was only $100. Went in for service & they found an issue thinking they had me until I dropped the warranty on the service desk.

5:51 i used to be in a Facebook group for people who were living in RVs/TTs full time and there were TONSSSSSS of posts like this! There were pics of kitchen cabinets held together by staples rather than screws, the swelling and shrinking weather had made their staples come out and their cabinets fell apart. - sadly what most of it seemed to stem from us that they are mass produced in a factory where employees don’t make quality wages so they don’t always put forth quality results.

I hate that you had these issues. The worst think about the RV industry is that they are NOT regulated by the government like automobiles. Also, RVIA is truly a joke. They are a membership organization for RV builders but they don't enforce quality control. Therefore, every RV that's built by any RV company is built different even if it's the same model. For example, one RV might have the bathroom draining into the black tank and another might drain into the grey tank. It's quite frustrating. Thank God your RV is still under warranty. One of the reasons I will never buy a brand new RV is because it takes RV companies forever in many cases to do the warranty work. Second, if I buy a used RV, the previous owners have already worked out the kinks so I can simply start renovating to get on the road sooner rather than later. Great video!

Hi, Brittany. I'm a knife enthusiast. The folding knives & my multi-tools often lose screws that vibrate out. There's a product called LocTite that you can dab a tiny bit on the screw threads that will prevent the screw from rattling lose while you travel down the road. And, it won't prevent you from being able to take the screw out, later, should you change the windows. Easy fix with a few dollars.

First of all you’re great and I love your channel! I have a skoolie and one thing I did was collaborate with the dealership and a local mechanic in the area of the dealership to have them take a look at the rig before purchasing! Im not sure if that is an obvious option to many people, but I didn’t know that could be done before I did it. Another thing is that you may find things with your rig that aren’t ideal (I know I have) much after the fact. I was irritated with myself at first but i like to remember that it’s okay to not be an expert and not to be too hard on yourself if you missed something when shopping for your home. ♥️ Good luck to anyone looking for their home on wheels!

What you are finding is pretty common with all new RVs and most people don’t find the issues until they start using the RV. That is what warranties are for so be sure to hold your seller accountable for fixing those issues before your warranty expires. There are always a lot of ‘bugs’ to work out with new RVs, that is why I always buy used, so someone else has already fixed all those issues. The quality of new RV builds has definitely deteriorated since Covid due to high demand=high volume manufacturing in a short time. It’s also recommended to hire an independent RV inspector when purchasing any RV new or used. BTW, love how you have decorated and love your little pup 😍

You have to take it back so they can fix what should have been done right. Over time these things can get worse . They didn't give you what they offered. This was brand new. First owner. It's easier for them to fix it than for you to stress unnecessarily. Take it back and to be fixed don't turn your home into a liability . It's not your fault for missing things that should not have existed. 🙂 plus places where the seal is not correct allows for moisture to build up and that cause rust development.

It’s great gaining a perspective on RV. Watching your channel made me realize that a van would actually be a better fit for me due to the prep time you would need to commit to get it unhooked, ect. That if something happened you couldn’t simply leave but you’d need to hook everything up and plug everything in which if you had a ton of time, would be fine, but since I plan to be on the go and just wanna go when I wanna go, a van may be a better fit.

We discovered that the solar was not connected after we purchased our rpod 191. It was used once and stored in a large shop/garage. We looked at it in the evening and for used it looked like it was in excelent condition (which it really was for used). It took a long trip through sunny weather to start to wonder if the solar was overrated. Good news, hubby found the wires that weren't connected and now we have roof solar. Even though there are a few things that have needed to be fixed and adjusted very happy to have a nice little trailer.

And don’t rush if you can’t do it all in 1 day because of the weather then come back the next day. Get on the roof and crawl under the trailer to even if you don’t want to do it anyway. Have them fill the water tank check for leaks everywhere. Hope you get it all fixed.

And I’m definitely bringing my brother with me. Lol 😂 Your space is so cozy, peaceful and comforting ❤Continue being your fabulous self! God bless and safe travels. 😊

I was fortunate to have been moving into an apartment in same city my sister lives. She had me taking pictures of things I woul have either not noticed or blown off as unimportant. . Yes,, it's best to have a trusted friend or relative.

You look so young to have such a bold life style. Please be careful and yes the cosmetics of your purchase are really not too bad for a solo act of visualization. Great job for your solo purchase I can only imagine the sales person nor the manufacturing department want to make a compensations in repairs for great quality of customer service. Lesson learned but NOT Life changing. Thanks for this video because now you have put me in a buyer's BEWARE mode. Beautiful job

Hello from Nate and LaVerne Johnson. We can definitely relate to your situation. We’re full-time we’re and getting ready to purchase our third travel trailer. We found similar problems on each of our brand new rv’s. Unfortunately it comes with the territory. Your still under warranty, so you should be covered. In our case, we live full time in our rv. A repair lengthly repair beyond one day means staying in a hotel. As a retired electrician, I was able to fix most of our problems myself. We plan to do the rv repair training class.

It’s the wildest thing hearing you talk about how everything is in your “car home” when you’re anywhere. One theft can steal your entire life. 😢 I want to do this but I keep freaking out about having to have access to my car so I can run away quickly. But then again. Anyone can break in and start driving away WITH ME INSIDE! I just… the world is just not safe anymore :( No matter where you are. Or what you’re in. Thank God for your positivity and happiness and ability to be yourself! Love your fearlessness! 😊

That screw for your window. The screw you found is silver. Are all the other screws on the window frame silver? I would think they’d be black. If they are black that screw you found doesn’t go to that window.
