I gave up on cooking when my kids left home, but now finding inspiration again to keep calories and preservatives low and fresh flavors while out camping and exploring. 💕

In a lot of instances when making sour cream based dips or dressings I have started using plain Greek yogurt instead. Thin with a little olive oil and mix in my food processor. Bumps up your protein and cuts some calories.

First I love love your cookbook. Way to go Tricia! Second, I am so excited to see this episode. Just bought a Blackstone ! Third, bought the lemon pepper and it is AMAZING. Ordering the others now! Same! Adding chickpeas to the pasta salad for protein. BBQ soy curls in place of the chicken and add the slaw, maybe seitan for the Waldorf salad change up. Hmmm

Mark, you inability to keep from eating all the food Tricia cooks up is a testament to how good it must taste. I don't usually watch cooking shows, but couldn't stop watching this one and now I've got to get the cookbook once it comes out. Another great video.

As a le cordon Bleu trained chef- I am LOVING all of your tips! For those looking to reduce sodium intake- look to lemon and lime to enhance your food flavors without adding more salt! And I agree- measurements are hard- I never measure out and it's done when it's done

Tricia it was so fascinating to watch you cook. I learned several things & I've been watching the Food Network for years! You definitely have the innate talents and skills of a chef! Although many of the things that you do by feel are things that not everyone knows how to be able to do. I would LOVE for you to show more of your cooking process!

Quick tip...if you are prepping everything at home, you can shred your chicken using a mixer. It's much faster and easier than using forks. I use my KitchenAid stand mixer but I'm sure any mixer would work.

Just RSVP for Tricia's cookbook. It's funny this afternoon I was just adding summer salads to my recipe box on a cooking website I follow, and your video tonight had summer salad recipes. Now I have more salads to add to my summer salad repertoire. My RV life is still in the future( hopefully Airstream) but Tricia's recipes are great for anyone who loves to cook.

So happy you’re ok. We once came upon a black cloud across the highway that looked like smoke from a fire, by the time we got to it, something hit our windshield that sounded like gun shots. The rain was so bad we tried to pull over but couldn’t even see the soft shoulder. By the time we got to a little town to stop we saw big white balls the size of tennis balls that were actually hail. Our RV was a little dented but we were safe and had a great weekend camping.

I cannot wait for your recipe book. When traveling I make a lot of your recipes that I see you make on your shows. Your hints to prep are amazing ( goat cheese scraping with a fork) Game changer for me as I traveled to the Grand Canyon. Thank you for sharing your talents.

I add frozen water bottles to the frig/freezer on travel days to help maintain the temperature. I travel with the propane off.

Me too ,sometimes when starting out I put refreezable ice packs in the door of the fridge and on my meats to keep the temp colder.

Can't wait for the cookbook!! When I got my email after RSVPing it brought up the recipe but it didn't download it. I could see it but when I printed it, it was tiny print. My husband and I watch your video's all the time and have learned so much from you. We've only had our TT for about 9 months but we are enjoying!!

I love salads. This episode is for me. Yum. Great tips along with great recipes. I like to make a few things ahead of time before heading out camping. Marc, I turn our fridge on two days before we head out. I agree about putting cold things in there vs warm. Totally works better.

I make pasta salad like that all the time. I hunt through my fridge and chop up a bit of all the veggies I have (cucumber only goes in when serving it - if I know Im gonna have left overs I add the cucs on the plate because I hate how they taste/texture the next day. Then I cut tiny cubes of cheddar, pesto, mayo, green onions or chives. So good! Might make some tomorrow!

You are so correct, planning meals saves so much time! I normally meal prep during the week prior to a weekend trip. Vacuum sealing leftovers helps tremendously.

I never use garlic salt, just garlic powder.... I add salt separate to make sure it does not get too salty

Yummy looking recipes, can’t wait to try them. Any idea why a fridge would work fine on the propane but not on electric when we are hooked up? We just started our three month trip and frig light goes red every time I turn it on electric. 😆

Nice transition from an RV channel, been watching for years, almost didn’t catch it. Widening that net . Good strategy interweaving some RV . What would you say the channel is now that you guys transitioned from full time RV, an RV lifestyle channel ? If you are nice with a sharp knife you can hand slice some lime or Lemmon zest in some flat strips and Juliane some of it

Thanks for the recipe. I'll have to try the slaw recipe. BTW, The carbon footprint of using agave syrup is much larger than using honey.

I have just got to say my wife HATES cooking, I actually do all of our cooking out of necessity and happy wife happy life right? When we recently bought our first RV she started to feel somewhat helpless as I was doing EVERYTHING except for cleaning (all the driving, tire checks, sewer, setup, towing etc and on top of that all the cooking). We started watching your channel and she is just in love with your cooking style how fresh and colorful and easy you make things. Tomorrow we are leaving for a trip to North Carolina mountains and I come in from prepping the rig to her making your pasta salad and Waldorf salad!!!! She was Soooo excited to have me try it and had the biggest grin on her face at how proud she was. I’m thinking we might have something here, HOW COOL IS THAT?!?
