Great video! I have a Xantrax inverter and 4 6v batteries in my RV. Also 4 Renargy solar panels to charge the batteries. However I keep getting the fault /warning saying I have low DC current. I have ended up just using the generator which is frustrating after installing all this equipment. Any advice or thoughts on where to start troubleshooting? Thanks in advance!!

Hi, seeing how you work on inverters can you share your experience on brands. I'm looking at either a Xantrex sw3012 or a magnasine 3000-12volt. Which would you recommend? Also do you have any experience with the new Xantrex XC Pro 3000

Hi kile im just a beginner when it come to solar trying to put solar on to my batch i have managed to pick up a couple of trace sw2512 inverters both with ishuse one keeps tripping the mains and the other has error light on and error causes say that the breaker is tripped it also will not accept mains power im in new zealand in a small town i noticed you had som on your bench and you said that they were high end i am trying to find a work shop manuall or scmatics or sorce someparts or help and scowering youtube and spotted your seggment and thought why not anything would be much appreciated cheers Tony

I purchased a 2008 Itasca Sunrise class A motorhome with a 600 watt inverter. When I turn the inverter switch on in the wall, it glows which is supposed to mean it’s working. But with the motor running, I don’t get power to my TV, so I’m thinking it’s not working. What is the easiest way to test? If it needs replaced, should i get one capable of higher wattage?

my inverter is brand new and turns on and off and doesn't function properly. I just put a new battery in too. I may have touched a red wire to the body of the inverter on accident. could this have done it?

I have a strange issue. When I turn on my Inviter the ground fault beaker will pop. I I turn off the rest of the breakers I can turn on the ground fault beaker and everything will work fine until I turn off and back on the Inverter. What could possibly be wrong with the inverter?

I would love to try repairing these inverters ! I have repaired so many in the past, but not for motorhome. Question please with LifeP04 batteries they are lighter than say AMG or wet cells. The LifeP04 can be drained down to zero volts and not be damaged. Personally I would not make a habit of doing this myself. Correct me if I'm wrong please, But when inverter change DC voltage to AC . Every time it has to step up the DC voltage their is a power loss. Ok these batteries are series to make 24Vdc. The inverter has to step the DC power to AC power their is a power loss. So if you are using 12 vote Lifepo4 that means the 2 batteries would have to be series together to make the 24Vdc. With only two batteries series together the current would be the same coming out of two batteries. The only thing that has changed is the doubling voltage. In fact the 12Vdc batteries now equal 24Vdc . So if power = Voltage X current this does mean power factor has gone up . Ok what if you series two more batteries just like the 2 you all ready done ? Now you parallel say bank 1 the first two that was series to make 24Vdc. Now you have two different banks of batteries. If you Parallel say bank 1 to bank 2 you will have the same voltage 24Vdc, but the current has went so much higher. You could use an inverter that would change the 24 Vdc to 240 volts AC with different phases. You could then balance the 2 different 110 phases. I think I could use that and when charged by generator and solar panels by just driving to you next location. Wow you could be in the desert and really have you music blasting out while you sip on some Royal Crown . You would have all the power you could use. This system would cost lot more money but Wow. Just my thought and I hope I didn't make a mistake putting down off the top of my head. Also I would look into building your own Lifep04 12 batteries . This alone would make the cost a fraction of what you would pay. I'm so sorry for making this so long. Its that when you start it goes on and on lol .

Someone with the knowledge, Please help!!. So after a power outage an i guess there was also a surge right before, my ac input on my coach isnt working. My generator isnt charging batteries now, icant get ac input. If i flip a breaker it will work momentarily but then shuts off. Also i noticed the shore power plug an receptacle are blacken'd an slighlty melted right after this outage surge. Anyone know what it could be. Or is it the obvious an is it the plug an receptacle. What confuses me is that the generator isnt charging batteries now too. Which shouldn't have anything to do with the shore plug right? Anyone help or advice or place to go for more info be greatly appreciated.

What about a magnum energy inverter that’s plugged into shore power but I still can’t use shore power. It starts to charge the batteries than on the remote the battery sign flashes than goes into a unknown fault..? It’s really odd. All batteries are new fully charged

Please help I'm a newbie ,,I have a magnum MS 2012 got it secondhand froom a filler at the RV park. It was working when he took it out. I came home and bench test with two good batteries end I'm only getting 24 V Up and down if you volts the green light is flashing as it should and no funny noises coming from the inverter. And another inverter I bought for something else is doing the same thing when I hook it up which leads me to believe I'm doing something wrong and probably with the grounds but I just can't figure it out. Very expensive Magnum inverterFluctuates around 24 V and my cheap inverter does the same thing fluctuates around 24 V

I couldn't close the side of my rv so i used my car jumper and decided to simply used a dewalt 20 volt battery to close it :)

Kyle, is 4000W enough power for your entertainer coaches? I’ve seen some coaches with 5 AC units and multiple inverters. Is this a good feature or overkill? I imagine you don’t want ac going out on a tour bus so redundancy would be valuable.

4000W will not run 5 x AC units..

@@gruponemesis depends on the AC draw. Usually you need 2000 watts to run one 13,500 btu ac comfortably for any amount of time.

@@gruponemesis I posted a system that should be able. 5 AC units would be around 75K watts. I wish I knew more about AC units. I would think that once the temp has reached that the blower would be almost only thing on. so I guess I have no ideal, or I would have to take a guess lol.

I did a lot of research before I got all the parts and installed my Inverter. Being a lower model coach owner I knew I wanted to get one to power mobile devices and small electronics without having the run the Generator. I brought powmr POW-HVM-3.5H-24V invter in sri lanka. But i install it using througt externel mppt 60AMP controller. So i use only battery mode in my inveter. Could i knowIs it ok? Sometimes onese a day inveter showing fault code 03 (high voltage from battery) but battery voltage is 28.5 or 28.7. After inveter auto restart and fix it. but Could i know why coming like this faul code. I use this inveter everyday only till 10pm. After first i turn off load and turn off inveter.
