Great video. This is the exact setup I need because my RV has a pre wired “solar circuit”

grate videos bro keep them coming its good to see full display of the system can u show rv water flow a tank stuff with mini tanks display and maybe a bare bone rv with normal layout of tubs and eletic wire in rv's

amazing video

thank you for the precise explanation. the power x box that is connected in line between the breaker box and the shore power what is the function of that?
@Cpmobile7 ай бұрын
It is a transfer switch, for when you have multiple ac inputs such as shore power and generator. To make sure only one source of ac power is connected.

Awesome video so this isn’t the inverter/converter right?
@thedodgefather307810 ай бұрын
I know there is one that has both right?
@Cpmobile10 ай бұрын
Correct, this one is an inverter only with a built in transfer switch. There’s a video with a victron multiplus that is and inverter charger (converter).

Travis Like discussed with you elsewhere I've got the 1200 (or) 1500 watt inverter on my Jayco. One thing that I have happen, when incoming power is lost, the "fraction of a second" from incoming to inverter power kills the internet box for just enough time it has to go through the "reboot" thing for it's 5ish minutes and is a pain in the ash. Maybe it's just me and my lack of patience but the reason of this reply here is to ask..... Is there a way to make the transfer time short enough / instant like going opposite (Inverter to incoming power) time so it doesn't have to reboot the internet system? Thank you once again sir. Great videos on here!
@Cpmobile5 ай бұрын
Hello, it depends on the inverter. Some higher end inverters have a “ups” setting for “uninterruptible power supply” when transferring. You check the manual for your specific inverter and see if it has that function.

@@Cpmobile Great and thank you. I"ll look further into this. I appreciate you sir.

Great video and I learned a lot. However, I am a nit confused on exactly what happens in the control panel. In my case, I only need the frig breaker to run thru the invertor. Do I disconnect those wires from the control panel and run them into the invertor. This would leave that particular breaker in active.-correct? Curt
@Cpmobile7 ай бұрын
In this setup, power would flow from the breaker to the inverter, then to the fridge. So when plugged in to shore power the breaker in the control panel is active. When on inverter the breaker on the inverter would still be active but not the breaker in the control panel.

My camper has a 200W solar panel and is "Prepped" for an inverter. It has an 120V AC line that you cut and connect to the AC In and Out connectors on the inverter. How are the cables from the battery or batteries run to the inverter? Try not to "assume", however do the cables run from the batteries through a properly sized breaker to the 12V DC in on the inverter?
@Cpmobile3 ай бұрын
Yes, that’s correct. The 12v wires to the battery should be appropriately sized, and run through and fuse or circuit breaker that meets the specs for the inverter.

Just bought a used rv. It has solar the same batteries. Not sure what type of inverter. I would like to know how to use some 120v outlets without the generator or the connection to the shore power. Also, I am not sure if the batteries are charging while we drive or if they charge from the generator. How can we contact you?

Great video. Is it possible that we can connect?. I just ordered a new Xantrex FREEDOM XC PRO fro my discovery 40x i would like to pick your brain. I wanted to use victon but i don't think it would fit thru the opening i have :(

I would avoid Victron.. They use a floating ground when switched to battery power.. I been down that road.. And one reason they removed the bonding screw on the DC voltage side..When it should be in. As once on DC power. The inverter is now the Source transformer. And grounding the unit to the chassis is asking for it when on DC power. As any short to ground or fault needs a path back to the source. Why Xantrex or Renogy inverter\transfer switch\Chargers are best for the money..
@JacobCervantes-e7g Жыл бұрын
how can i get that reversed. I'm needing to power a 12v fuse block when the vehicle is running, OR when connected to shore power. I've never done it before and am not sure if its even doable.
@Cpmobile Жыл бұрын
It’s certainly doable. A battery charge or battery isolation relay could be used on the vehicle side to connect to the 12v fuse block when the vehicle is running. A standard rv 120v to 12v converter could supply power when plugged in.
