Okay, I've never agreed and disagreed with someone so much in a single video, lol. I love the pressure regulator. I agree about the blackstone. I too have the 22" double burner and wish I had the smaller one. When she went in on my zero gravity chair, I was about ready to fight, lol. Now she's talking about my collapsible trash can! We've got threeeeee little kids who produce more waste than a got'dang widget factory, lol. A big outside trashcan is a must. Ours is pretty big and we put a big industrial 55 gallon bag in it. Every night we take the trash can(s) from inside, dump them into the bigger outside one, then take the bag to the dumpster (or the curb). The great thing I've learned is that everyone camps differently, and it's awesome to hear different perspectives. But seriously, those zero gravity chairs are one of the best things about camping. I sleep better on those than my RV mattress, lol.

I’m not on board with ditch the zero gravity chair as well. These are the best! But if you look at their garage, it is attached to the slide. Looks like weight and size are more of an issue than we have for our class A.

Yesss! I love my zero gravity chairs. But I do agree, they are big, awkward and bulky. I just throw them on the floor of the RV for travel, but I can see why that might not work for some rigs. Same with the trash can; fill it up, dump it each night. We had a smaller trailer and there was just no room inside for a larger can. Everyone camps differently is so true. And what works today, might not work for you tomorrow. Lots of great ideas out there.

Love ours as well. I do see however that they are now getting WAY overpriced! I got one a few years ago much larger than the one shown for 7.99 on clearance. It doesn't take up much room at all and is there if I need it so a good overall purchase. I tend to agree about the zero gravity chairs. I purchased a couple of the Strongback Elite folding chairs and we use them camping as well as parades etc. all summer. Very comfy and easy to carry in their bags.

We bought a basically metal piece and it sits on any table picnics table or anything like that and you can put a trash bad in it and it’s just a bracket. I don’t think this made sense but it’s smaller and better than the trash can

Love our zero gravity chairs and our pop up trash bin! I like the Blackstone but prefer the Weber 1200 grill. I think everything you mentions (aside from the water pressure regulator, agree with you there) comes down to a matter of personal preference. Example: I find the Colman chairs horribly uncomfortable on the back whereas the zero gravity much better support.

I've just started using a collapsable trash, nice for use outside and larger items that fill up the small containers inside the RV. One has to remember to bring it inside or store in a compartment overnight .

I think it depends on the type of "camping" you do. We mainly boondock and we usually have several families with us, so most of our meals are cooked outside and eaten outside so the pop up garbage can is wonderful for us. But if we were in an rv park with trash cans all around or were eating inside, I can see how it isn't that big of a deal to have.

I love my Coleman grill and do use it as well as my Blackstone 17 inch. The carry bag for the Blackstone is awesome! I also love having a garbage bag, ie the pop up type, outside. It’s convenient when cooking outside or for putting those beverage cans in!

Great suggestions! We prefer the director type folding chairs, yes they don’t collapse down as much as the “bag chairs” but we find the “bag chairs” very hard to get out of. I can see your point on the black stone grill. Many good suggestions, thank you for sharing your thoughts. 👍🏻🙏🏻

We also have the 22" and love it. We are only. 3 people, but it makes the world of difference to us. I love the extra space especially for stir frys. Also have the collapsible trash cans and love those too. We can put all recycling in one and. any trash we can't burn in the other. Then we only have to make one trip to the dumpster at the end of the trip rather. than daily trips because of teeny trash cans in the TT.

I love my outdoor trash can! We got a different style collapsible one but it helps cut down on the in and out of the camper with the kids so less flies get inside and less things get spilled as they are carrying trash in and out. I can’t imagine trying to get them to carry a sticky watermelon rind inside dripping all over the floor as they walk to the trash can on the other side of the kitchen 😝 plus they like to leave the door wide open and the dog will run out if he sees another dog to play with 🤣

Wè are not comfortable sitting on or able to get out of the bag chairs. We love the GCI rocking folding chair. We love the collapsible trash can for pot lucks. We are in our 70's and go out with a camping group and park host at 3 different state parks here in Arkansas.

I agree on the set pressure regulator. We went to the adjustable one. We have zero gravity chairs but only use them at home. Your correct saying they take up too much room in the RV. We use director chairs with integrated side tables when camping. I really like the idea of the Zero G hose after I googled it to find it's drinking water safe. We have a 3 burner Camp Chef with a BBQ and two griddles. Great when our kids and grandkids are camping with us but when its just the wife and I its too much. Last camping trip I left it at home and took a table top BBQ that fit the small griddle from our Camp Chef. Worked great for us. We have a couple of the pop up containers. Because we do a lot of boon docking we don't have the option of ridding of our waste until we leave our campsite to find a trash bin. We use one of these for recyclables. When you mentioned these pop ups were suggested by "Campers" and are not for RV Life...this is where we divide. You and I have different opinions of RV Life.

Agree or disagree with the choices of good/bad, reviewing this video begs to check out and get rid of the items we are embarrassed purchasing or never using. Chairs like mattresses are a personal choice, as we keep both with us. Easy to carry when visiting others, fold up, when hanging out in our spot, like folding chairs with trays. I think I have a whole box of early purchased “what if” items that have never used. Time to toss. Good video and thank you.

Yes, I agree on all points. We have come around to, and use, each of your recommended products after having purchased several of the "not recommended products". Quickest way to see which chair is the best is place several around the campsite and invite some folks over. See which chairs are used and which are ignored. The zero gravity and expensive small hiking chairs are always ignored. The Yeti chairs are always the first to be used, but they are heavy and expensive.

Our compromise was to just take ONE antigravity chair to share! We downsized to just one for same reason- size and weight! We are so thankful we got the 17” Blackstone instead of the 22. Tip for two burner black stone: lift the steel cooking surface out so you can move the unit and cooking surface separately. It’s an extra step much easier to move by yourself. It separates very easily.

I love the zero G at home too. Super light weight and doesn't take up much space. Best addition to hoses ever are brass quick connects and a bag of replacememt rubber washers. I put them on everything. No more screwing the hose ends means no more stress on the ends which is the only weak point of these great hoses.

My 5th wheel, an AutoMate, was made in 1999. It’s been in storage for 12 years. Three years ago we finally had the right kind truck to pull it. It was a “gift” from the in laws. Our water gauge is the old style. Papa, told us to be careful not to blow the pipes if the pressure got to high. I can tell you water pressure is quite low, but we have learned to live with it. I’ll look into your suggestion because we are headed to Utah to see Zion, Bryce and Arches. We’re excited. Thanks for all the good tips. 😁

The white hose with blue stripe is made especially for POTABLE water (drinking water). It is BPA, lead and phthalate-free. The materials used are UV stabilized to prevent degeneration from sunlight and are usually NSF certified for your safety, free from contaminants such as rubber. There are a number of brands to choose from and information online. I hope this helps understand why it’s important to have this type hose for safe drinking. As for the gravity chair, lol, I love mine because of back issues! However, we have downsized and I leave it home now. I’ve enjoyed some of your suggestions for storage ideas. We love our propane fire pit. No smoke and easy to use when you don't want a wood fire and can also be used under the RV awning when raining. We also love our director chairs with the integrated side table. I'm not crazy about the Coleman grill, but it does have burners for pots which the Blackstone doesn't. Thanks for sharing.

I agreed with all of your recommendations other than the last one. We use a pop up trashcan (with liner) for our bottle/can recycles. There are still many states that don't recycle at all so we find this an easy way to still be able to recycle and then drop them off when we get to a place that does have a recycle container bin.

Unless you are camping in bear country, the expandable zip close can is a great way to have a larger trash capacity. The water hose is something everyone will go through. Correct on the water pressure regulator and the Zero G hose. Not so much with the gravity chair and the trash can. We travel with two freestyle rocker chairs and one gravity chair. Can't properly enjoy a good nap in the good old outdoors in one of those folding chairs, that's where the gravity chair comes in. Wife loves both of the styles of chairs, keeps her happy. Of course if you have a smaller rig, you will have to make compromises. We have an 27.5 HT fifth wheel coach, so that is our compromise. We use the collapsible trash can outside, secure it to the camper steps with a large carabiner clip, handy for all clean up from cooking outdoors. At night I store it away in the truck bed.

Love our zero gravity chairs. Love how I can take a nap, read a book and just kick my feet up. The bag chairs are not the most comfortable they dig into the back of our legs. We prefer our two burner camp chef. We like the ability to make our coffee on it in the morning also we like to do corn on the cob and Blackstone doesn't give you the ability to boil water. Either way you are still carrying a griddle but with a camp chef you have more options to do different types of cooking.

Weekend campers here that agree with the zero gravity chairs. They are big, bulky, heavy and confusing so we gave ours to neighbors who use them in their backyard. 🙂 The pop-up garbage can we LOVE though. We have a smaller one that we carry around everywhere and it gets used on every trip. It hasn't been collapsed for awhile either and just gets thrown in the bed of the truck whenever we go out. It's even lived in the bed of the truck on road trips for anytime we need an easy access garbage can. We love it! Happy camping though!

OMG I wish this video was out when I bought my first RV. I made 90% of the same mistakes. My FW hose is now watering plants. My 0 gravity is in the garage covered in dust. We have an Intech Sol Horizon. It's our first camping trailer. I insisted that we get the optional outdoor kitchen slide out. My thinking was that when it was hot and everyone was hanging outside, I wouldn't want to be stuck inside cooking. We've had the rig for 2 years and haven't used it yet. It takes up an entire storage bay. On the upside, it is removable, so we could take it out and leave it home if we really need the extra storage. Also, having just one helps my partner refrain from overpacking.

Agree completely on the camp chair. Those things are so big that we never take them with us. Agree on the Blackstone, but I say go with the 22" 2 burner version. I've been cooking on one of these for about a year and the smaller 17" version is too small unless you are cooking for just 2 people. We got that collapsible trash can too. I don't think we've ever used it. We use regular shopping bags for trash bags and visit the dumpster several times a day to dump the trash.

I know you did this YT years ago, but I am brand new to RV camping. I spent thousands last year on SUV tent camping equipment and LOVED it!! But I upgraded to a Little Guy Max this year. I'm a solo, smaller frame, "semi-retired" geriatric camper and want to make wise purchases to have great experiences. The camp stove comparison was comparing apples and oranges. Two different styles of cook stoves. That wasn't Coleman's fault, that was your fault for not knowing what type of cook stove you needed. Are you going to cook some water on that griddle? Ribs? Different type of camp stove entirely.

I think you see so many of those blue and white drinking/fresh water hose is due to the fact that it was difficult to get people to stop using regular garden hose! Thus it was easier for newbies to recognize! Now it is getting people to convert in this day and age when you are seeing more people traveling around.

Good video. I agree with all your items. I do have some minor discrepancies. 1) The Colman grill. I have a Blackstone griddle and love it but i also carry a small BBQ gas grill. I like grilled steaks and chicken. I did dump my Coleman camp stove. 2) I have the two burner Blackstone and I am glad I got it over the single burner one. I like having 2 zones. For example, I will cook the sausage or bacon first, then move it to the cool side and cook pancakes. The cool side will keep the other food warm. I use the Blackstone even at our sticks and bricks. 3) I love the zero-G drinking water hose. I have a second non-drinking off-brand one I use for my back tank flush. 4) The Gravity chairs are the Lazy-Boy of camping chairs, they are heavy and takes a lot of room. But they are great for a nap. We have one but we usually use our director type folding chairs. The collapsible chairs you like just don't offer enough support to sit for long periods of time. Our director chairs have shoulder straps and are not bad to carry to the beach. They fold very flat and fit in our storage area very well. I think i paid $20 each for them and they have an attached side table.

I agree with most of the things you reviewed. I've tried numerous zero gravity chairs and find them extremely uncomfortable, we recently got the "papa-san" type chairs and so far I love it. Couldn't agree more about the Coleman grill, total waste of money. Hard to store, hard to clean, uneven cooking. I'll hang on to my outdoor trash can, I cook a lot outdoors and with the outdoor kitchen it's a good addition. Plus not having to run back inside to throw away trash, our indoor trash can is smaller so when it gets full we put it in the outdoor one then go to the dumpster.

The adjustable water pressure regulator is so important. Most people don't realize that the water filters they add will already [significantly] reduce the water pressure, and adding the standard water pressure regulator without the ability to adjust it is like pinching the hose. That's one of the reasons RV water pressure is notoriously bad because it's getting throttled twice before it gets inside the RV.

I definitely agree with the zero gravity chairs! We haven't ever splurged on them, but we have family that has. I've sat in them many times while camping with them, and I just don't like them! They might be good for taking a nap in, but sitting around a campfire visiting with people is difficult in them. We prefer regular camp chairs, although I am considering buying a nemo stargazer type chair.

I have to state that I'm only 50% inboard with what you are recommending. If anything, you should address the fact that you absolutely ditched the idea of the Blackstone completely, especially since it got you booted from a campground. Nobody likes to find greasy spots, new wood or old. Yah, I'm with you on the gravity chairs. I absolutely love mine, but it's a total pain, and can only use it by the campfire if I set up the half tent units to reflect heat back to me..... other than the space needed, and not firepit friendly, the way it stretches your spine is absolutely a much needed benefit. For us, not spending as much or more on a diesel pusher as we would on a middle class home, you pack some things, like coolers and camping chairs inside, so there's that solution. This segways into the next topic: no normal sized travel trailer comes with an inside trash can, or not a normal sized one, nor space to put one. Also, nobody is about making 500 trips half a mile to the dumpsters. That's exactly what that trash bag is for. Put your can outside. And make ONE trip to the dumpster..... now, are we supposed to throw a big trash can on the same bed we sleep in, or the table we eat off of/sleep on? No. That's where the collapsible outside trash can comes in. The hose? It usually comes with one, so nobody is wasting money on a normal house. We already have it. Now, when it's missing or damaged, then yah. I absolutely agree that you can beat a zero hose..... but for even more space saving, get a pocket hose. Just make sure it doesn't restrict the flow. If this does happen, you can drill out the end of it for more flow. Screw Coleman. Get the same chair for 8-10 bucks at the grocery or outdoor store. Once again.... you would rather have a Coleman burner. I already know you hated the Blackstone. Coleman's simply work. And are cheap. Yes, omg, you actually have to use a pan or pot, just like at home, but that's not some crazy idea or encumbrance. It's normal life, as usual..... what's more, why are you trying to use a camping stove, when you have the best stove you can get already installed. It even works better than the natural gas or electric stove in your house.... just use that thing and not reinvent the wheel with no reason or demand.

We just recently bought a popup and haven't had the chance to use it yet. but like everyone else I've been watching video after video on things to buy, renovations, etc. It was refreshing to see a video comparing alternatives to the items that are mentioned as must get on every other video. I noticed in the comments people love their zero gravity chairs :) which I'm excited to get lol, but you offered some valid points on the other chairs which is the style we own and bring with us everywhere for tent camping, beach days, picnics, etc. and had them for probably like 10 years and they were cheap and get used a lot.

I love my anti-gravity chair, so I bought a bigger one at Cabela's and it was unweildly and heavy. I gave it to my grandson and am happy with the smaller one I bought on sale at Ace hardware. So be careful on the size. The smaller, lighter ones are just as comfy and sturdy.

Oh God, that white Camco vinyl hose is just the worst. We started RVing about 3 years ago at this point and that pile of garbage was the bane of my existence for a while -- it would literally take me longer to wind that thing up than it would to dock and hook up the rest of the camper. I don't have experience with the Zero G, but the EvoFlex is nice. The collapsible trash can is something we use a ton, though. It is indeed true that your average site has a nearby dumpster, it's nice to be able to really fill up a bag before you take it over there. With a 5 year old girl and 4 border collies, we marvel at how much trash we actually generate at our average stop...

I'm surprised about the chair recommendation. We bought the absolute cheapest zero gravity chairs and find them comfortable, light, and easily fit in our outdoor storage hatch. We have the Colman chairs you recommend as well but after half an hour sitting in them, we can hardly walk they are so uncomfortable.

I got the 22” Blackstone. Honestly I find it easier to clean off a pan than the whole tray. We have a Coleman with a grill on one side and stove burner on the other. It’s so much lighter and has wind blocks. I know many people love the Blackstone but I prefer steak and burgers on a grill and not a flat griddle that keeps everything in its own fat. You can always use the camp trashcan as a laundry bin. Easy to carry to the laundry room and folds flat. I do like your hose. I hate dealing with the white hose that always gets my feet wet because it flips around as I’m draining it.

Agree on: zero G water hose (50’ & 25’) as some faucets in state parks are far away split between 2 sites; adjustable water pressure regulator (I use a splitter after regulator for drinking water hookup and one for black flush that has a back flow preventer attached); headlamp (I like rechargeable ones) My wife loves the zero G chair, but I agree that it is too heavy for what you get. We bought a passive “dehumidifier” that is questionable. It sits on the floor or table. No reservoir or hose outlet. It is about 5” thick & 14” in diameter with a lot of quarter inch holes in the top. I must have been out of my mind when I bought this piece of junk. I guess I believed the lies on the outside of the box. It only draws 130 watts, and if it is plugged in, it is “working.”

I agree about the zero gravity chairs because of weight and room they take up. Old table top propane grill rusted out and I am considering a Blackstone or another table top. Everybody seems to love Blackstone but I am not sure they are easy to clean. I have bought a lot of useless RV items along the way which is why I like this type of video even if I don't agree with everything.

We love our zero gravity chairs, but they are heavy and take a lot of room. One thing we bought that we only took once was our canopy. It never really worked. The shade was rarely under the canopy and the wind wanted to relocate it. We even bought weights for the legs. The whole thing was donated.

A lot of people need camping chairs with solid arms, particularly those with bad knees.

The more common regulator is far cheaper and mechanically simple. It has an absolute maximum pressure it will allow through the line. Almost nothing can go wrong with it, and it is sufficient for most needs. The more expensive one has more parts to fail, and could allow a surge in pressure because it's adjusted manually to a percentage of the input pressure. A surge in the mainline can cause a jump in pressure at the output, but it does allow you to raise your water pressure at need. Both have plusses and minuses. The Blackstone is trendy for sure, but I find a good Lodge cast iron frying pan on a Coleman stove (not grill), works just fine...and it will last so long I could pass it on to my grandchildren.

A different tone rather than sounding like my school principle in the 1960’s would have made this better. Many of the things you rate as horrible are things we use all the time. We use both kinds of chairs and the zero gravity are the first pick of adults and kids. Love the outdoor trashcan, etc. A lighter tone and smiles would be nicer.

Just catching up with all your vlogs (fairly new to your channel). I'm good with all your "waste of money" items EXCEPT for the collapsible garbage can. Light weight, takes little space when collapsed and easy to keep handy outside. We even keep a second one for all the green recyclables (ya, we're Canadian, eh?). Just because we're camping doesn't mean we leave our environmental concerns at home. If anything, we try to me more conscious of it when out enjoying life. Love your vlog! Keep up the great work.

You are soooooo right about these points. We also learned exactly what you explained on zero gravity chairs. Fortunately, we deduced correctly on the hose (got zero-g), griddle (got 17" w/ carry bag and cover), adjustable regulator (Renator). Newbies should be very cautious and think through their purchase, not just blindly follow what "everyone" recommends.

We've thought about the Blackstone, but we already have a Coleman Grill with a lot of attachments which is a lot to carry around, but we carry a lot of canned veggies and we have a burner attachment for our grill so we can cook stuff like that oustide. We probably will invest in a Blackstone at some point instead of carrying our huge grill around all the time. For a weekend trip it's not worth the hassle.
