Probably one of the best tutorials. Just ordered this exact generator from tractor supply. Very excited. Same reasoning. For our camper, and to have for possibly central fl power outages. Thanks for this video.

Does this model have to use 10W-30? Meaning the manual indicates that? Just curious- I’ve got several 10W-40 quarts at la casa
@smorervfun3 жыл бұрын
I think the manual said it so not 100%

Plug a Bonding plug in one of the receptacles and that solves the problem and then you can use the Surge protector

Good video. Watched, as I have the exact same generator mounted on the rear of my 2020 Jayco SLX 265RLS. I have a permanent propane line ran to the generator. Love the generator. It's the perfect size.
@smorervfun3 жыл бұрын
Permanent propane is a great idea. Did you run a new line or tap an existing?
@natei35183 жыл бұрын
@@smorervfun Ran a new line from the manifold under the coach. I had one vacant space on the manifold from the factory.

Surge gaurd sells a cheap neautral ground plug for that purpose...its like 10 bucks and you plug it in to your 20 amp socket first then plug your 30 amp surge gaurd in and it will work just fine and your protected from any surges.

Just bought and have 5 hours break-in done. Manual said about cleaning the air filter - saturate in clean engine oil? This is air filter not oil filter!

What’s the protocol on the ground??? Will we be needing a 3ft.copper grounding rod and 10ga wire to close that open ground light???? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks, rr

kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3nEd3SVh7KLqKs video about generator safety on this link. You really need to see this video please on this link. We all care that you stay safe if you are using a generator. Please also do not allow your children to operate a portable gas generator because it’s harmful and they can get electrocuted. Do not ignore this advice please. Hope you stay safe.

Are you able to run this generator in the bed of the tow vehicle, or should it be set out on the ground?
@smorervfun3 жыл бұрын
I've run it in my bed. I would caution it does have an exhaust so what what you set around it. I would also make sure you never keep it closed in a space, such as in the bed with the tonneau cover down.

If I'm not mistaken, this generator has a automatic shut off if the oil gets too low. Are these generators made in China? Does champion make the engine, or is it made by another company?
