Hey boss, I have the same generator and only have ran propane in it…. It works but vibrates heavily while on eco mode…. I have tried eco mode with no load on and it vibrates erratically…. Instead of waiting for champions customer service line for 2 hours I decided to see if you ever had the same issue
@RandomReviewsHowTos Жыл бұрын
I haven't. In fact, I'd say little vibration considering it's a generator. Even less noise or movement with eco turned on. Is a bolt loose connected to the frame. Check those first, see if anything is loose.
@zodaguado6655 Жыл бұрын
@@RandomReviewsHowTos nothing loose, it shakes so hard where the frame starts to rotate and it’s on tires…. Like it moves even though it is on wheels …. I was just wondering if you ever had a problem.. I have only used propane…. It sat for a year with non use, has about 30 hours of use..

Here is a reminder about generator safety: this is only a reminder for everyone’s safety. This is just to make sure you are aware of all the warnings. Every year after hurricane and winter storms, there were reports on the news that many people have died each year when using generators due to carbon monoxide poisoning and electrocution during a power outage. There were reports about deaths when using generators when the power was out. There is something very serious that everyone should always be aware of when using generators. Some people do run their generator indoors which is not safe and that increases the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning which can cause death of family and you. Some people run their generator in wet conditions which can electrocute them. Here’s an advice about generator safety: please remember that you should never run your generator indoors. Remember that carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas that you cannot see or smell. Carbon monoxide is a silent killer. Keep that in mind. Make sure your generator is 15-20 feet away from your house and away from doors, windows, and vents. Having a carbon monoxide detector is very important against generator safety. Some people also allow children to go near the portable generator which could pose risks. We need to keep an eye on our children making sure that they are not near the portable generator so they won’t get electrocuted or burned by the generator which is dangerous. A locking enclosure also keeps kids safe. A generator shed might look like a tempting place to explore, or take cover during a game of hide-and-seek, but a generator is a dangerous piece of equipment that can cause injury. It says on the manual that we should also keep children away at all times from the portable generator to avoid injuries. Generators pose electrical risks. If you need to use your generator during wet weather, you need a generator tent to protect your generator from getting wet. Don’t let your generator get wet. Keep your generator dry and before using your generator, please make sure your hands and your generator is dry. Everything that is said on the generator’s operating manual should not be ignored. Never smoke cigarettes near the generator. Please keep flammable things away from the generator. Never overload your generator too. Your generator can catch fire. Never ever try to plug a generator cord into a wall outlet to avoid back feeding. Back feeding your generator is dangerous. Always turn on your generator first before plugging in appliances and shut off the appliances before turning your generator off. Use a heavy duty cord for your generator and the cord should not be worn out. All the instructions should be followed carefully. Never refuel your generator while it’s running. It can cause fire if fuel spills while your generator is hot. You should turn off your generator and let it cool off before refueling it. Having a fire extinguisher next to the generator is also important. This is only a reminder for everyone’s safety of using generators. Make sure your generator is properly grounded. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2LNhWZ3g6qBrKs and here is a video more about keeping others safe when using generators. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Just got one of these today. Think there may be something wrong with it. Running gas for the first time and When standing right next to it I get a decibel reading of 84 and 81 in eco mode. Is this your experience as well?

Yes. I won’t see the the eco mode working. Even nothin plugged in.

Me too, just ordered one. Now I know what I'm getting. Nice review. Going to be off grid building, starting with a 45 foot extra wide extra high shipping container. Going to put it on a concrete pad with a 16 or 20 foot patio, well maybe I dont put the container on concrete but i will put a roof over it and solar on the roof. Going with battle born batteries and a set up like a guy has on you tube. Need to get everything built here in jan, feb, march. This will be a nice addition to the generator collection, an intermediate size to what I have and an inverter and duel fuel. I want to get into producing and cleaning biogas in a special design rocket stove idea that I have and running one of my 3 propane generators on the biogas. Lots of experimentation in the years to come.

How quiet is it. If I camp primitive I can't run a normal generator at night. Too loud.
@RandomReviewsHowTos3 жыл бұрын
At the end of the day, it's a generator and it is going to make some noise. The eco mode is nice because it definitely quiets up the overall sound, but it still sounds like a generator, just not as loud.

@@RandomReviewsHowTos I have used a regular one. And I could put it about anywhere and could sleep. Even under the fifth wheel hitch. But it all about the neighbors.and it has to go off at like 11 and music etc. And can't always get electric hook up
@MidwinterEclipse3 жыл бұрын
mostly every time i search up reviews on a inverter generator its usually always used on a rv. why is that? i want to purchase a generator for home use in case of power outages. and i will be hooking up a tv and possibly a pc and some other electronics, people say that inverter generator is best for electronics. i like the duel fuel option and how quiet inverters are. lots of reviews say that inverter is more fuel efficient.im confused between inverter or a standard type generator. i need about 5k watts to power my essentials and have a few extra watts. whats your recommendation please.
@RandomReviewsHowTos3 жыл бұрын
RVers use generators because we don't always camp where we have electric to plug into. This one however would provide plenty of power for your use case. I use this one at home as well when we are not camping, which is about 6 months of the year.
@stevehuston98313 жыл бұрын
You definitely want an inverter if your running electronics. It's a "clean powere compared to a regular generator. A regular one could fry your electronics with power surges.

It really is a great generator. Build really well and it does its best to be quiet, but at the end of the day it's still a generator.

Are Champion generators reliable? Hondas are out of my budget and many people say they are the best.
@thornyturtleranch4u3 жыл бұрын
@@tmz90 champion makes a very nice product now. Generator quality has come a long way in the last few years. Champion has a 3 year warranty and a lifetime technical service access. I would say it's a better buy for the money than honda. Honda is 3 times more but wont last 3 times more.
