I’m just a weekend warrior. I’m a solo female camper so it’s really important to me that everything is in peak condition. I have the TST TPMS, the same water meter, a 30amp surge protector, the quick connectors, the Waggle (even though I don’t travel with pets), the water pressure gauge, the gas stop, Level Mate Pro, spare water pump and Pex with a full set of tools. So many other things too. It’s come in handy for me, to be prepared but it’s also been beneficial to other campers I’ve been able to help out. It’s pretty cool to be a 60 year old solo female and have more stuff than a lot of the men and couples do. It makes me proud and more importantly, it makes me calm. I can handle most anything that comes up and that’s a great feeling.

I have the Garmin GPS and it has taken me on many wrong turns. Always look at your route on another GPS and compare. The other thing I swear Garmin does is it takes you out of the way so you hit toll roads. I noticed this around New Jersey. It took me 20 miles out of my way to hit the Atlantic City turnpike when I wanted to go to Wells NJ from the Delaware Bridge which I could do on a free highway. There are other examples of taking toll roads when other routes are free.
@garyhahn34503 жыл бұрын
It may be possible to tell the gps to avoid toll roads. I have an older model that allows that.
@JB-hz4pu3 жыл бұрын
@@garyhahn3450 I don’t want to avoid toll roads. I want to avoid all roads that are 20 miles out of my way. If I avoid toll roads I avoid the bridge and go 50 miles out of my way.

Interesting design.. One thing that's neat about the ORU though is it has no seals or seams. I'd worry about a rubber seal drying our or getting damaged on the Pakayak. Also, it appears they are all solo kayaks.

Hey Chad and Tara! Love your channel! I upvote the TPMS even for non full timers. I’m not a full timer and one time I was about 5 hours into a 12 hour trip that we did annually and had a tire blow out on my 36’ fifth wheel going about 70 mph on the interstate. Trust me when I say this is NOT an experience anyone wants to have. I will have a TPMS before my next trip. I appreciate your insight.

I agree with using one of the brass water pressure regulators but the DO GO BAD. I had one of the top rated brands for maybe 3 years and it has been in use 100% of the time for the past 2 years. I always keep it set at 45 psi. Recently at a park and checked gauge - 45 psi. After 5 days I was in the basement and noticed a little water. Turned out fittings on the water pump and back of utility cabinet were leaking. STRANGE! A little checking and the water pressure was at 85 psi! Readjust regulator. Work on repairing leaks. Go back a few minutes later and pressure again at 85. Accused wife of tampering with my mind. Readjust back to 35 psi - lower than my usual. Watch gauge and it slowly creeps to 85. I apologize to wife and remove regulator. Yes - those things go bad too. Always carry a spare.
