Chad: We have the levelmate pro!!!! And it's the greatest thing ever. So nice to be able to get as level as you can by moving the camper around in the area, instead of having one side jacked way up. We do a lot of camping in fields at BMX tracks so it's nice to drive around and watch to see how level you are before picking our spot.

Wishing Tara a speedy recovery. On another note Scotty reviewed the Dewalt air compressor and said Dewalt slapped their label on Chinese junk. I use your previously recommended Viair and it is still an excellent and more powerful air compressor. I tow a Jeep and need to air down and air up frequently and love it.

The walkie talkies saving a marriage gave me a chuckle. On our recent Upper Peninsula trip, we got into such a fight whilst trying to back into a spot. Most of the campground heard it, I'm sure. And the walkie talkies we were using? Well, they were just enablers! 😉 It was our second stop. Happily, things got better as the trip went on.

The LevelMate is handy even if you have auto-level. I've been in some parks where my auto level threw an "excessive slope" error and had to re-hook and re-position the RV...since I got a leveler never had that issue again. Just moving a few feet forward or back can make all the difference. Great gift ideas Chad, Thanks!

I agree. My auto level will tell me which side(s) is(are) low but not by how much. LevelMate Pro tells me exactly how far off each corner is and makes it much easier to get the auto-level to behave or how to manually level our rig. It was super easy to install and calibrate. Highly recommend it.

Hello! Gr8 recommendations. It was good 2c Tara on her hospital bed. She is one tough🍪!💐 I hope she is getting better with each passing day. The only couple we know who own a rig are well to do. He owns a trucking 🚚 🚚 🚚 co. in NJ and works harder than anybody I know. The one thing they might need is a sauna. You got one? Maybe a portable one 😅

Chad great list. I'll add the Mopeka water sensor. It's placed on fresh tank and senses water %. Nice if boondocking and wondering will your water last X days longer. I just weigh LP tank, easy. Our best to Tara.

I am curious why you switched to the Blu Tech water filtration system from the Clearsource. We purchased a Clearsource (on your recommendation) and have been very happy with it. I hope Tara's recovery is going well! Love your channel!

Nothing wrong with the clearsource at all. They are pretty much the same specs in terms of the filters. We just needed a new filter for the 410 and decided to try the Blu Tech. We do like that it's smaller than the clearsource.

I've been on the fence about a standalone Garmin GPS for a few years. Our process has been to use RVLife to double check the route that Google has selected. Google Maps is the native navigation source in my 2024 Chevy and it integrates with my HUD for turn-by-turn cues, which I find helpful in keeping my eyes on the road. I know you've been a Garmin fan for years. Have you found the route fidelity from Garmin to be superior to RVLife?

Yes.... Very much so. Granted, we haven't used RVLife for a while. But, we used to run them both and about 10-20% of the time (my recollection - no data) RVLife would pick a route that was much longer. And sometimes it picks a route that I would not feel safe taking our rig... Like 441 (Newfound Gap) across the Smoky Mountain National Park. The tunnels on that road aren't marked but they sure look low and lots of switchbacks. Our contact at RVLife said there are some big improvements coming to the navigation, but no idea when.

Yep! But, without valve extenders on the rear wheels, you might need to add a long air chuck to reach the inners.

You "need" a "permission slip" or license to use GMRS, not for FRS channels.

I had never heard of that so I just researched it. Very interesting. It must one of those unenforcable FCC regulations.

@@ChangingLanes It is enforceable, They just do not use it unless they want to. It is easy to get the "permission slip" and it is for the entire family so you could get it and I think it is good for 5 years. I am hoping that is one of the dumb rules that is removed from the federal statues soon.
