Just found this video, didn't seem boring at all. I admire you for making such a tough decision and following through. You have a nice trail breaker in your dog there, that's cool. Take care.

So, last weekend I started to convert my sons, ( now mine) old suv into a camper/car camping rig. It’s been three years since I actually owned a car, my bicycles are my only mode of transportation since April/21. Approaching 40,000 kms riding since making that decision, crazy… As I approach retirement I don’t want to be without a way to get away without borrowing my brides vehicle. Camping on my bike is a big priority this year, only the spring, fall and winter though, my brain can’t handle packed campgrounds during the summer. I’m thinking the truck for a stealth camp or two. I learned that tune watching KZbin videos, as a self thought guitar guy who learned in the 80’s, before KZbin, I’ve defaulted to watching the vids rather than printing out the sheets! Trouble with that is I’m constantly relearning the tunes that my brain can’t file :) I’ve taught myself mandolin and the uke too, and of course will always need to revisit KZbin to quickly relearn most of the stuff I’ve learned already. What a life..:) Seems we visit the laundry mat for opposite reasons, I’ve been putting off replacing the timer in the dryer, not because I can’t get one, but because I can wash 6 loads before Cheryl gets up on a weekend, while I’m drinking my coffees, get to the laundry mat when it opens, use the dryers while everyone is washing their stuff and be home, folded and put away in less than an hour and a half, doing laundry for an entire day sucks….. but that’s me I suppose. Taking time for yourself is key, I’m glad you guys managed to fit that in! Cheers as always, Rick

Almost boondock camping time ♡♡♡♡♡!!!! Can't wait to hear all about your camper adventures !! I'm totally hearing ya! I usually hit the laundromat before 6am and take up all 6 washers sometimes !! Ha. Everything at once and finished before Daybreak. Pretty sweet. I love when I can bring home to hang it for drying. Hanging laundry and watching them blow in the breeze is one of best things ever. :) Nice hearing from you Rick ! Hugs to you and your bride.

You and mooch are so lucky to have each other on this journey with dreams that you both share. Someone to sit down with to talk it all out, and figure it all out. I can't even imagine what that would be like. I am taking my journey by myself, and have to figure everything out myself. Now, I do talk to myself about it a lot, but it's just not the same LOL. (There's a lot of arguments with myself, and I still never seem to win lol) The few friends I did have were not supportive at all, and just couldn't (and didn't care to) understand what I am doing. Needless to say, those people are no longer in my lives. Thankfully, I have two VERY good friends waiting for me in New Brunswick, so I am definitely blessed there. I can definitely understand what you're saying about last year being a LOT, and not for the faint of heart. I am going through it all this year, same as you did last year. Now, I don't have a family to have to move, and I can only imagine what that would have been like. On the other hand, I am doing all of this alone. Thankfully, my mother is here helping me out to get things wrapped up, and I will have my good friends at the other end if I need a hand. I am certainly feeling more excited as the time gets closer, I just wish I could be there already lol. Good things come to those who wait.......I guess. Or maybe I should just say, the best things in life are worth having to work for 😀 I know how you feel about the sleep issues as well. I started taking melatonin 3 or 4 weeks ago, and OH MY GOD! That stuff knocks me on my butt, and fast! It doesn't work for everyone, but you might give it a try. I'd say you should cut down on the coffee too, but lets be honest......that's just not going to happen. Coffee is the nectar of life! LOL. Hope you're having a great day Bethony. You certainly look very happy :)

I can't thank you enough for your thoughts and insights and your comments always warm my heart. First of all -- im so happy its hurts ;-) second of all, i cant imagine having anyone in my circle who doesnt support my dreams and so those friends you thought were friends werent/arent. Youre moving in the right direction. I love you sharing your journey with me, keep it up!! And I wish we lived a little closer to NB (we are about 5 hours away) so i could have you for dinner and come by and deep clean for ya once in awhile!! Mooch is a good sounding board you would find a great friend in him and we both would be here for ya any time !! If you ever need an escape from the madness of your relocating you can seek refuge and solice here. ♡ mi casa et tu casa. P.s. mooch and I have been through 21 years of growing pains together. We are very thankful we have each other, you betcha but after 20 years we better be on the same page or we are in deep trouble. Haha. (Thinking of you as you prepare for the best time of your life). !!!

Bethoney, I can tell you're really talented with the guitar! I tried learning for a while, but it's too difficult for someone like me without natural talent. As for sleep, besides the environment, mood and mindset might also affect your sleep. I've noticed that whenever I'm in a bad mood or slightly anxious, my sleep quality suffers. Sleep truly is crucial!

Awe !!!!! 👋👋👋 hello friend and thanks for your comment !! You're so right, sleep is so crucial !! And same here: if I'm anxious/worried/stressed it will keep me awake too. I find when/if I can't sleep I just get up and work on my office stuff or clean house, haha. No point tossing and turning in bed, might as well be quietly productive. ;-) Hope you're doing well !!!!

Just want to say sleep apnea can cause snoring if you schedule a sleep study it may help both of you get better sleep !

Totally!!! I participated in a 3-day sleep clinic at our hospital, I was referred by my doctor when I was 16yrs (I went to him initially for constant nagging headaches that kept me awake). It was a confirmed diagnosis of Insomnia during my study. As for manfriend, he changed his diet, lost 30 lbs and does not snore near as much. He does have a breathing machine but has never had the mask fitted. 👍👍
