My favorite memory was an emotional moment in 3rd grade walking down the center isle when i was in a nativity play. I started crying back then because i felt Gods love. It was a beautiful moment around Christmas time. Thank you for presenting Jesus and why he came! I hope you will be blessed this Christmas.

Grandma and grandpa’s house, all their kids and families get together for dinner and opening their gifts. Gm and Gp gave each family a box of chocolates and big can of peanuts. It was an awesome time with 6 plus families in a very small space 1000 sq foot 2 bed/1 bath home. As a 5-11 yo, it was fabulous! Gm and Gp protected us kids from our parents most of the time. Once Grandma lined us kids up and spanked each one for horseplay… we knew better! As for a gift, my mom and dad were not rich but very limited income. Usually we got a toy or fun gift and clothes that we needed. We were very happy! While in college, they asked me what I needed and I said dress shoes or dress boots (zipper style) either one would be awesome, but more expensive than I expected. That Christmas I not only got the wing tip dress shoes but also the zipper dress boots! Wow, I needed dress shoes badly! While trying them on, there was something in the bottom… a $50 bill! I cried! Literally. I wrote them every item I purchased with the $50. Mostly food and gas for car. While in college funds were in limited supply, I was poor, I took dads Winchester Model 12 back to school (he was in the hospital that fall), re-checkered the stock and forearm, sanded and sealed, cold re-blued the metal, cleaned and got a cheap cloth case and gave it to him as a gift. It was his turn to cry. He would not hunt with it ever and bought a new gun for the next season. Matthew is correct, those were great times and celebrations. I’ve heard it said that Jesus is the reason for the season but I say we are the reason for the season! Jesus came to save us! He knew we needed a Savior to take away our sin. He was THE perfect sacrifice. Jesus did it for you and I. No greater celebration can be than God so loving the world that He gave us His son, Jesus, that if you and I believe, we would not perish but have everlasting life! That is grace and mercy not just given but poured out on us! Unending supply… thank You Jesus! Merry Christmas! Have fun with the family!

That is an amazing story about your parents gifting you presents of items that you needed and then giving you a little extra and then you later on gifting something so special to your dad! 2 Things always come to mind around Christmas with my family. One is Santa Clause comes to visit when I stay over with my parents even now, many decades after learning Santa isn't real. Two is watching Christmas Vacation with family on Christmas Eve starting when I was "old enough".

Since growing in my faith over the last couple of years, and getting to know the Lord and His Word and Truth, I understand more and more what Lord Jesus had done for us and how important that gift of eternal life gift. I hope you get to spend Christmas with family. or go to a local evangelical church for the christmas eve service. Monday night we went to a christmas choral event where our future DIL was directing the massive choral event. my son has not even met her yet. But God made it obvious to me when i met her about 3 wks ago, after 4 yrs of asking God to bring my son the right one, bc the current one was a horror show. I asked God to do what it takes to break up the current relationship. two days later they had a massive fight. ha ha; oh i shouldnt snicker i know, BUT it could NOT continue. I sent him a pic of the new one, with a complete description of her persona, he replied with a thumbs up. I cant wait for them to meet! I was a complete pitbull praying daily for 4 YEARS for the breakup of one and the start of the RIGHT one. its HAPPENING!!! @@BrokenDreamsReborn

Shion has a small seasonal bin that stays under the bed where she keeps a "few" Christmas items from year to year. The majority of the Christmas decorations including the tree gets donated each year since she gets the majority of it from the Dollar Tree and then she can start all over with a new theme the next year! 😁 Thanks for watching!
