If someone else set up your weight distribution hitch, read about setting them up,, including using WDH to return front fender height to near same as unladen when TT is on hitch and WDH engaged. If it’s like our TT, the dealer only set WDH to compensate for only about 1/3rd of the tongue weight. After setting it up right, antisway was way better, and nearly NO dolphining even with the soft rear suspension on a RAM 1500.

My wife and I are looking at the 1985 roadster. We have never had a camper. I love the quality. What generator will run the Ac with ease? We have a Honda eu 2800,will that work? We love the outdoors. How did you decide on the price vs how much it would get used? The cheapest I have found is 41,000 sorry to hit you guys so hard with these loaded questions!!
@adventuresofjandk4 жыл бұрын
Oh no problem at all. We are happy to help. When we started looking we had the exact same questions and people helped us. The size of your air conditioner will determine how big a generator you need. It consumes the most wattage. For example, if your air conditioner requires 2800 - 3000 starting watts, and 1500 - 2000 running watts, a 3,000 watt RV generator will be sufficient for working your air conditioner. We have a 3100 watt Champion. I think I talk about it in our boondocking video. We can run the air, a hair dryer, etc. all at the same time. Never had an issue. Price wise you are about were we were. I tried so hard to negotiate without much luck. I believe we got them down to $39k. Still a lot of money but once we started using it we never thought about the cost again. We know we will have it for years so to us it was worth it. Best of luck on the purchase. If you ever have any other questions feel free to reach out. Thanks for watching.

Charles Saine Hi Charles. Thanks for watching. The 1995 has a great layout. We have some good friends that have that model. The one tip I would have you already mentioned. I would get the best sway system you can afford. We bought the Equalizer which was the model they had on the showroom floor. It’s worked for us but I have heard from others that there are better. Hi We are thinking of renting a RV and traveling down the Oregon Coast. Is there a way to pay and reserve our spot so we can use our RV to tour different places? And is September a good time to miss all the crowds and still be able to visit places? We want to go whale watching too! Thanks for your input.
@adventuresofjandk Жыл бұрын
Yes you can reserve spots. Check out Reserve America. Weekends will be full all the way until October but there will be weekdays available. You can also try regular RV parks. You might find better luck there. Crowds really don’t disappear until kids are back in school so late September. Good chance of rain but you could get lucky. We love the Coast when it rains but it can make camping pretty cold and dreary. September still seems to be okay most of the month.
