One project that has been on the list (a.k.a. procrastinated) for a LONG time is to build some shelves in the bedroom and bathroom. We have several areas where the shelving from the factory is insufficient or nonexistent. Building these shelves has greatly improved the usability of those areas!
In the RV kitchen and pantry, Tara has organized and reorganized over the years. But, this last revision really hit a sweet spot! We have the same amount of food in the pantry, but WAY more room! Our drawers got an organization upgrade also!
- Bonus Projects! -
Back when we were collaborating with Two Beards and a Babe on our AC Maintenance Video, Todd brought up his idea of putting door stoppers in the AC vents to increase airflow out of those vents. We tried it out (and tested it with an anemometer), and it worked great! Every little bit helps!
We also share a project we did in our very first week of RV Living, which is to carpet the inside stairs to the bedroom and master bathroom. This was needed ASAP for poor little Daisy, who didn't care for the slippery plastic-like feel of the finish on the wood steps. A $17 carpet, some scissors, and a staple gun fixed that problem!

Would you please tell me what kind of dog you have. She looks like my Yorkey terrier but my Yorky terrier is about 18 pounds. Yours is so small. Darling daisy has the floppy ears like my Yorky where most Yorkey Terriers like the little tiny toys have the ears that stand up so I’m just curious thank you. Also my dog is 14 years old . One day when I will regretfully have to replace her.... your dog seems to have the same exact temperament and personality as my Little Lexie Lou Lou.

Hey Chad, if the glue fails in the wardrobe, cut a full board to fit from the shelf just below to the bottom of the next. This way each shelf is fully supported by the shelf below it. Glue is nice, but not always up for the job.

Recess/and glue little round magnets, (both sides), in a piece of finished/stained 3/8 AC finished plywood to cover up those clothes, or find cabinet doors to match, even a black see thru net would be better advertising clothing...lol....

If you're within weight specs and level when hitched, don't worry about it... We added our airbags and sulastic shackles to help with the ride.. Helped a little....

12:14 - those metallic organizers. I used one of those in our odd cabinet next to the kitchen. Screwed them in up on what you would consider the second shelf level. They fit spice n seasonings perfectly. Webber or Mccormick brand. And I put it just high enuff to store a row of seasonings under it. Also used in out medicine cabinet to get a shorty second level 'basket'. Small stuff like nail clippers, contact lens case, tweezers, etc. fit easy to get and out of the way.

The baskets you're using, two words....Dollar Tree. It's amazing at the different sizes available. I like seeing the actual size before I buy it. I look like an idiot with my tape measure in Dollar Tree but they fit perfect.

You could use baskets or fabric curtains to hide your clothes on those great shelves. Good bathroom organization. Great pantry ideas. Amazon has great pullouts for under the sink easy to install. I am 75 and did it myself. I even bought 1 for trash can and 1 for glass sauce pan lids. You have great ideas.

Try using industrial velcro. I've used it for big heavy headboards. Takes a lot to remove it.

Hi Chad, I had a friend, much older than you, who passed away about 3 years ago. You look like you could be his Son. What a guy. You even have the same laugh. I love to watch you two, I'm learning a lot and ready to buy. I'm traveling alone so I decided to purchase a 30 foot C class. Although I like a fifth wheel better I think it would be to difficult to handle being alone. You tell that sweet wife of yours how lucky she is. For your open shelf in the bedroom, you can get a spring tension rod and a pretty piece of material, lacy sheer or towel and make a loop for the rod.

Awesome little tidbits thanks for sharing. Going to share a safety tip. Take your oil off the counter next to your stove. If you have a fire that oil to feed it quickly. Don’t put it in a cabinet above the stove either. Both are extremely volatile and dangerous spots to put flammable liquids. It may be inconvenient but move them to your side cabinet or pantry.

Awesome video guys! I love watching your videos cause it usually means a trip to Home Depot to look at new tools or like your last one I got to put in the toolbox and tonneau cover!! We have a GD 372wb and are constantly making small mods just to make it feel more like our little box. Enjoy your videos and love your ideas for modifications and fixes. One thing that really helped me organize our clothing is packing cubes from ebags. I roll all of our clothing in them and it holds more and they don't wrinkle as much. We have a class B so being organized and compact is essential for us.

We cut and put plexiglass in the screen door in the winter to help block wind when coming in and out of the door. I just made it a little snug and it held. It is also great if you have pets to protect the bottom screen.

We are full timers as well. About your bedroom shelving by the bed, you could use a tension rod with a nice curtain made of any fabric you love or really pretty baskets, sometimes they are hard to find ones that fit certain spaces, but you could get lucky. Big lots is a great place to shop for different sizes of baskets. I actually found some white wire baskets, from big lots, for my fridge and freezer that fit like a glove and look as if they came with the rv. Love your ideas and video, I'll be getting some magnets for my bedroom door thanks to you guys.

Hey tara I am just watching your organisation video and I have a idea on how you can hide your clothes. You know those curtain cords with the hooks on each end for net curtains you could put one of those up with some material like a curtain and just pull it across the space

Our 2018 has a 16" shelf in the closet, they seem to made changes as people bring them up. Also we noticed you have window above the stove, we don't have it. Loved the magnets ideal my dryer door alway closes and the bedroom door, great fix. You guys do great job, I learned do much from you guys. Yes I did projects while sheltering in place first cottonwood AZ. Then 5 weeks at quartzsite. Then 2 weeks in zion. Then 2 weeks in Bryce Canyon. Now 2 plus weeks at Capital Reef. All this boondocking has given me time to perfect my solar system. I am old so it has also given me ample time for naps.
