I have a mobility service dog, Dreyfus is an American Bulldog. Most people fear him because he favors a Pitbull. I am so glad you made this video. I'm on it, getting these items. It's very rare that he is left alone, but there are times I have to leave him at home. Our Palamino by Columbus 5th wheel is parked on our property in Avon FL. The money we have invested in him, I would die if anything happened to him. OH and Tootsie Logs!!! I'm right there with you that angers me to no end to see people leaving a loaf. Good Lord, I have serious back issues that prevent me from getting down but I do. He helps me back up. Dreyfus is my life savior!!!!!! P.S. Thank God he's not into the barking thing, only if someone comes to the door.

We have been using MarCELL for years - it's great. On our last trip someone hit the power pole outside the campground and the campground lost power. We were on the way back and .2 miles away so we thought we got this. Nope, power line down in the street no one can get to the campground - even by foot. After a while we pleaded with the sheriff to let one of us in to save our dogs. AGS would not help because the T-stats reset - just like yours. Our hearts would have broke if we lost our two chihuahua being so close and not being able to reach them. One thing that saved us is getting the RV real cold before we leave, no kidding, we get it down to 65 inside before we leave and turn on the smooth jazz and they take a nap. We always used the rule of thumb only travel as far as we can make it back if power or AC fails. That last time taught us a lesson. As for other dog safety stuff, we have a massive K9 first aid kit - even IV for fluid if the get dehydrated! Great Video, keep up the good work.

3 things, 1.Some people like us have a rescue dog that may not do well when approached by an off leash dog. So the dog off leash may be ok, but our one rescue would not do well. 2. We have used a device called isocket. plug it in and buy a prepaid sim card and insert it and you will get text on power outage and power restore and also temp alerts. No charge except purchases price and sim card. 3. Awesome tie out for dogs is by ruffwear. Adjust to any length and compact and strong. Pricey but well worth the money High quality called KNOT-A-HITCH. $59.99. search for it on youtube, you will see reviews on it and how it works. I would post photos of the two but not sure if I can under comments. Thank you Chad and Tara for the great videos!

You make good points here on dog owner ethics. We live in an apartment complex and I go through poop bags like they are water. Some people don't deserve to own a dog. My son's complex takes a DNA sample of the dogs when they move in.

If you have an iPhone, you can also put that information in the “medical id” section of your phone where anyone can access it even if your phone is locked. This is fantastic! One thing to defend dog 🐕 owners, I was walking my dog and started talking to another RVer ,my dog quietly pooped, neither the person or I noticed it. I went back to our RV and my wife had just been looking out the window and saw our dog 💩 and told me. So I went back and got it. Usually I pick up other poop now that I know how easy it is to miss.

My worst concern came at a KOA dog run. While playing with my dogs inside the fenced area they could run free in, a mother just opened the gate and let her little kids run in to play with my dogs without asking me or me being aware they were coming in behind me. While my dogs are friendly and love kids...as you posted, you just never know how they might respond to some stranger running at them.

I have a Service Dog (I'm a full time wheelchair user) and part of the training was evaluating me to make sure I could take care of the dog's needs...to include picking up after them. They stressed the importance of keeping a clean, well groomed dog, and to always pick up after them so that businesses welcomes us in. I don't keep a collar on my dogs when they aren't with me after hearing about dogs playing and getting their mouths caught on the other dogs collar and one (or both) dogs end up dead. If they have to have a collar on when no one is around they have breakaway collars. One of the dog trainers that helped me was also an animal behaviorist and her knowledge was incredibly helpful. An animal behaviorist figures out the cause of the unwanted behavior and treats the cause rather than the symptom. Most dog trainers try to treat the symptom which can make the problem worse. I suggest you find and work with an animal behaviorist on your pups separation issues. Yes, please keep your dogs on a leash. My dog and I have been attacked several times by unleashed dogs. Thankfully my Service Dog is one of four dogs we have (95lbs Lab (my service dog), 18lbs long haired Chihuahua mix, 18lbs short haired Chihuahua and a 7lbs Yorkie) and doesn't have any aggressive tendencies. So, when the other dogs were attacking my Service Dog, she though they were wanting to play. But, when you figure a professionally trained Service Dog can cost anywhere between $20k to $40K dollars or more, and then have it no longer able to work due to someone not wanting to put their dog on a leash. It's bad. All of my dogs are AKC registered (or through the AKC Pal or AKC Canine Partners programs) and all are also registered with the AKC Reunite program. It's a one time fee program and they send you yearly reminders to go in and update your dogs information, such as new picture etc. The Dog chipping program is only as great as the accuracy of the information in the database. I also purchased a dog microchip scanner (they don't cost that much) so I can periodically scan my dog to make sure the chip hasn't moved and to scan other lost dogs we find without having to find a vet that's open.

Good video. We have a big dog my favorite 3 commands are “leave it”, “ walk away”, and “walk on”. All important for keeping her a good citizen and because I sometimes use a hands free leash especially when I run with her. When people ask to pet her I say yes but she must sit first and if she jumps please stop paying her attention. Very few people want a 60lb dog jumping on them. I know a lot of people use them but I hate retractable leashes. They are bad because the lock part doesn’t always work. We also have crate trained her to keep her safe when we are not there. We didn’t once and we are now getting new shades. 😀

Excellent vid. You guys are like us. We do not want to impact others. In fact we preach the 11th and 12th commandment. "Know your limitations and Inconvenience no one." We too leave the TV or radio on. It's not just campgrounds people think their dogs will react to others the same way they do at home. People don't even react to different people the same way why should dogs. When we first started RVing back in the 70's most campgrounds would not let pets in. Even Disney world. But so many of us had pets we treated like family. So things changed. The other issue people do not understand our pets will get health disease just by smelling other dogs poo. SO pet owners be respectful. Thanks again for the excellent video.

Paying attention to where your dog is when on leash is very important too ....... We were at Sunshine Key back in Dec with our old dog Bandit. She has mobility problems but if we walk slow she's OK. We were coming back along the marina walkway talking when we heard a splash! She had stumbled off the walkway about 3 feet down into the marina, at night! Fortunately, I had her on a retractable leash so it didn't hang her when she fell but the water is low enough I couldn't reach her. I led her over to a lower dock where I could (barely) reach her enough to grab her and pull her out! Quite scary for her and us both!! The next day we saw a 4' nurse shark near where she fell in! We are MUCH more careful with her now!! Keep up the fun entertaining videos! Hope to meet you guys one day!

Awesome content!! My husband and I have been RVing for three years. We have Blink cameras in our motor home that have temputure sensors in them that let us know if it gets too hot or cold inside the RV. (We have a MiFi in our motor home). We also have doggie car seats in our car but I purchased separate bungee leashes that I attach to the head rest (the metal bars) of the car seat and then the other end of the leash is attached to a harness that my dogs wear when the car is in motion. Only reason I do this rather then use the tether strap that comes with the seat is because the strap is attached to the fabric of the car seat and in the event of a bad crash...that tether strap will most likely tear where the likelihood of the seat coming out is not really likely. But sadly there are just people out there that allow their dogs to run free and for whatever reason refuse to clean up after their dogs. Many times I have cleaned up dog poop 💩 while taking our dogs for a walk....only because I don't want to step in it.

Loved this video. I know we had shared that we had purchased the same carseat for our cat amelia and she loves it when we travel. She is a little different from Daisy. We can't get her outside even though we know that she would love it. She for now is an inside look out the wind kitty. My favorite memory since we started this in September is when we were in Lake Tawakoni in Texas and the winds really picked up and swirled all around us and brought leaves off the trees and it was like a tornado of leaves. She was like omg and running from window to window to window. It was pretty awesome with all the colors. Note: We could never really capture it on film when it happened of course. Well thanks again for this vide.

So, when it’s working, it’s handy for things like adjusting the thermostat remotely or turning on the awning light, so thanks for the tips on the other temperature monitoring services. It would still be nice not to have to drive all the way back from an outing to investigate or fix a temperature problem, though.

@@evanstelly7404 it does not, but is is tricky to use and configure first time and we got tired of trying to connect everytime, so we payed lippert the $10 a month telematic plan, so we can control it remote and without the need of connecting it to the RV wifi, that alone has a high waf (wife approve factor), when you are remote it lets you control everything except awnings, slides and leveling, which makes sense, you don't want to run any of those without physically being there. we also bought a cheap($100) samsung 7' tablet that we configured with the onecontrol app and NOTHING else, we got tired of using the cheap one on the wall, now this one is portable or on a dock above the old tablet, and since it only has the onecontrol app, charge last for about 2 weeks, we also put it on one of those baby proof cases.

@@gagscop I was using an iPad for the control because the one in the wall is ridiculously slow, but now my WiFi isn’t showing up at all so it won’t control. Also, yes, it was very tricky to set up the one control gateway, but I eventually got it and found out it was $10/month for just control and then way more for just like 5 gbs of data. I think that is a rippoff.
@gagscop3 жыл бұрын
@@evanstelly7404 agree, it is a ripoff, the main reason we pulled the trigger was due to the ability to remote start the generator to get the ACs going for our pet in case power goes out and we are too far away to return quickly, generator on gives us a buffer of tranquility.

@@gagscop They should have made it to where you can connect it to a local WiFi network.

Awesome video, respect and Common courtesy is one of the important keys to life. I wish more people would use that good ol fashion value.

Good tips. I had purchased a Canary for the house but would make a good device for the various alerts you have. Camera, temperature, air quality, 1080p live/recorded video, two-way communication (talk to your pet), and stays modes for motion alerts.

You could go to one of the analog thermostat controls for your heat/AC unit. Still has a digital display but has the manual switches on the bottom. If you have it flipped to AC or heat and the power goes off it will go to what ever you have it set to when power comes back on. This was a really nice video, we have three toy poodles, yes I said three and found this really useful, especially putting a plaque on the door with your phone number, what a home run idea. Thanks for making this.

We use simplisafe and it let's us know if power is lost and if we loose wifi. It keeps track of temperatures and water leaks. You can set ur temperature ranges for both hot and cold.. Also got the camera to keep an eye on the dogs.

We have two little pups with us and I installed ecobee thermostats with remote sensors like the one in my house. It lets us know if the temperature in the living area goes past our thresholds. The other great thing is we use one app for house and camper AC's. Great job guys love your vids.

2020 Keystone. In Command system. As long as system is connected to internet or hotspot, I can control all systems from my phone while I’m away from the rv. System is nice as long as it does not lose internet connection. Great video. Thank you

For our pets we like to use a wyze camera and we use a marcell pet monitor that keeps tabs on humidity, temperature and power and it's on a cellular backup just in case.

I just LOVED hosting @ a state park with our dogs. We would take our dogs our to our yard and let them go, then pick it up later with our scooper. It was amazing how many extra "piles" we found, of various sizes, in our "yard" that we got to pick up as well as our dogs. Apparently if the camp host has dogs, they will pick up after yours too! = (

Good idea about the collar with Daisy's name and your number. I will definitely get one for my dog when I start traveling. Thanks for the info.

Forgot to add we use a Thunder Shirt for our dog. He is afraid of thunder and panics. But we found it also works for separation anxiety so try the Thunder or Calming shirt and see if it helps.

I have been waiting for this video so many pet peeves , we are always right on top of our dogs even when we hike with them, we unfortunately have a barker and he is loud we tried everything , finally we bought a soft muzzle ! Wow it worked so now when we go camping he doesn’t go out the door without it . It doesn’t seem to bother him at all in fact he just gets mellow

Set up a outdoor thermometer like those large 12 inch diameter type that can be seen from your ring camera. It won't alert you but you can keep an eye on it.
