My brother and I were talking about the time Dad did this years ago. We had a 1959 Plymouth station wagon and used it to pull a Shasta 21' trailer, which weighed 3210#. The wagon's engine was the famous 318 CID. Dad was a plumber. He rigged a 1/2" copper pipe system from the trailer, along under the length of the car, and up and across the radiator. He drilled holes so the system would spray the radiator. The water source was the trailer's 40 gallon pressurized water tank. The flexible link between the trailer and the rear of the wagon was a heavy duty garden hose piece with quick connects. Up by the driver's seat ha had a gate valve for system operation. I'm glad you posted this. As soon as my brother found this video he sent me the link. It's a good thing for a lot of people now that these kits are available, especially since, as I am told, unleaded gas engines run hotter. And besides that, some people think their globe is warming (though our winters are getting colder and snowier.)

I'm glad to see a non-race application, in a similar way and in similar context to what I'd need. Cheers 👍

A test to see any (and by how much) drop would be really useful. Otherwise, it's just theory and wishful thinking. You know 🙏🏻

you do NOT want to use soft water! Softened water has minerals added TO the water. If anything, you want to use distilled water, which is about as pure of H2O as you can get

the radiator is 20 years old,, and is not cooling and will damage your engine ..the misters will help but only delays the big damage soon to come.you engine will over heat and warp you heads.. and you are wasting time with misters and holes.. the real bad news is,, no one makes brass radiator that will fit you P30,, the 2nd big bad news, is removing the radiator is a full day job with a helper.. I know.. you may buy an aluminum radiator for $1000, plus labor,, you have a 4 core, cross flow,, I see you posted 2012 and I am replying 9-2017 we don't know what we don't know.Hamish

This system has been used by Pikes Peak racers for decades. Doesn't that tax your on board water pump when it is constantly running? Would a dedicated water pump designed to run for long periods be better? I'm just wondering if that system will burn up your water pump faster.
