Your welcome! Glad you enjoyed it! We just finished building a couple ladders in the bunkhouse and putting up new curtains in the bunkhouse over the last couple days. Next is camping with the grandkids. Take care! 😊

Looks beautiful! Are you concerned with the added weight in the camper? About how heavy would you say it is?
@SilverLiningDayDreams
@SilverLiningDayDreams 3 жыл бұрын
Great questions. I think we will be ok weight wise because we removed the couch and in the dinette area we removed the cabinets. The butcher block counter in the kitchen after being cut out was much lighter. To be safe we are going to get a weight of the RV before adding flooring. 😊

This has been so helpful, as we are going o tackle our 5th wheel kitchen and give it a make over. I cant wait! It will be so fun! We have actually made MANY changes to our camper, we love it! We just finished our custom 115 inch long couch, super comfy.... we took the camper out in Set, getting to really use it for the first time and we love it even more!! I have been binge watching your camper videos, you guys are doing a great job, it looks beautiful!

Thank you so much! 😊. Wow, I bet your campers looking awesome; how exciting to be able to start enjoying the fruit of your labor. Wish there was a way you could post a couple pics of your Reno as we would love to see it but KZbin doesn’t allow it in the comments. We wish you well with the kitchen. You got this 👍

@@SilverLiningDayDreams You're welcome~! Well, our son was going to document everything camper and put it on his youtube channel, but then he started working and was still in high school.... so . .. that went by the wayside. I know my husband has taken tons of pictures, and I often think about Instagram or something, but I haven't done that either. Maybe youtube...? IF we do, I'll check back and let you know! I certainly LOVE watching youtube and seeing all the great ideas people have!! :O) Thanks for the good wishes! The best to you!

Love everything you're doing, it's looking great. My question is... even in the 90's who thought that couch upholestry was cute, lol. Guess it was an upgrade from the 70's look. I'm a 63' child, lordy how much we've seen in terms of styles changing. 🤔 does th RV design team say, hey let's make people's home away from home motif flowery. They can feel like it's spring/fall inside, when they can't go outside.

Thanks. You really made our day with your nice and funny and well thought out comment. We were hanging onto the RV couch after we removed it “just in case”😂. After reading your comment we had no problem getting rid of it. Thanks for watching our videos and supporting our channel 😊

What a huge change! Do you plan on keeping your table black now that the counter is in?
@SilverLiningDayDreams

Thanks! We’re going to live with it for a bit to see how we like it when everything is decorated. :) But thinking we will be keeping it black!

Did you have any trouble re installing the stove? Was the butcher block thicker than the original countertop?
@SilverLiningDayDreams
@SilverLiningDayDreams 2 жыл бұрын
After removing the stove and cutting the butcher block counter and dry fitting it like I did in the video; I should have taken the time to then dry fit the stove. Because I didn’t dry fit the stove onto the butcher block before installing the butcher block counter I didn’t notice that I needed to make a couple more cuts with my dremmel where the front corners of the stove on top meet the butcher block counter. I may down the road in a video explain more of that. Because the stove is heavy I would recommend having help when dry fitting so you don’t scratch the wood. The butcher block is a lot thicker than the old countertop and that adds to the aesthetic. Thanks for watching and subscribe for more if you haven’t yet because we hope to do more RV videos this summer 😊

@@SilverLiningDayDreams thanks so much. 1 more question. Did it leave a weird gap below the stove?
@SilverLiningDayDreams
@SilverLiningDayDreams 2 жыл бұрын
yes, we measured the gap and made wood shims and installed them to compensate for the raising of the stove due to installing a thicker countertop. I hope that makes sense. In hindsight, I wish I would have included that in the video. I may have took a picture or have a short video clip showing the shims. I’ll look through my phone and computer tomorrow ish. I’ll see if KZbin lets me post it here if I find something. I’m so forgetful so if I don’t get back to you in the next day or two feel free to remind me

I found the video clips on shimming our RV stove. I uploaded a short video that I think will address answering your question. It’s not public yet but here is the KZbin link if you want to watch it at your convenience 😊 kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4a7kIGvfcSgm68

Maybe if your wife would have helped you sit down the butcher block it would have been even and not touched the cock where it shouldn't have. Instead she just stood there filming.
@SilverLiningDayDreams
@SilverLiningDayDreams 5 ай бұрын
This is all new territory for both of us. :) In all fairness I prefer her to do the filming instead of helping me in the awkward laying down of the heavy countertop here. Plus it turned out great! We make a great team as we know each really well with our strength and weaknesses after being together 40+ years!
