I'm loving this road trip vlog! Semi trucks definitely make me nervous. I almost got run off the road by one. I don't think he saw me in his mirror so I'm always extra careful when they are going by. Next time you're in Texas stop in New Braunfels if you can. It's about an hour south of Austin. The Guadalupe river runs through there. You can tube the river and it is absolutely gorgeous. Also, Lupe Tortilla is one of my favorite Tex-Mex restaurants. You won't be disappointed. Have fun on the rest of your trip!!!

When I was in the restaurant industry, I was trained by chefs from New Orleans; There are four types of food there: New Orleans is toned down touristy food, N'Orleans is the great neighbourhood places where the restaurant workers serving New Orleans food go when they get off work, then there's Cajun and Creole, the real good stuff ;) . Within reason, the rules apply where, rather than following tourist guides of where to eat, just ask around, ask your cabbies, your gas station attendants, definitely your bartenders, write the names down and go to the most popular spots. I myself am not from New Orleans, so correct me if I'm wrong, but the way those chefs used to pronounce the name is Naw'lens.

You guys got “New Orleans” at the end. 👏🏼 I wish you guys would have make it to Café Du Monde in New Orleans for beignets and coffee (the frozen cafe au lait is the best). It’s a renowned destination in the French Quarter. If you guys every travel back through you gotta stop there! It’s great seeing you guys able to relax and eat to your heart’s desire! ..My Dad lives in the Destin area and we stop at the Donut Hole st least once every trip. They're actual breakfast meals are incredibly delicious and made from great ingredients!..They even bake the bread used for the toast there...
