Glad to hear my Coach Net is good. Also, Coach Net covers roadside assistance on your car/truck and motorcycle too.

Our experience with coachnet was not the same as yours. We called just needing our battery jumped. We spoke to someone who was suppose to find someone to come out . . . .never heard from them again. We finally found a Good Samaritan who helped us out. Also - I noticed this service is only good if you are in a collision. Not a mechanical breakdown.

Coach-net roadside assistance applies to vehicle disablement due to both mechanical breakdown and collision. It is the trip interruption coverage that applies only to collision with another vehicle. Lou

AAA left us high and dry today. Have had AAA for decades and AAA insurance on our toad. Will have new toad insurance by the end of the week and will NOT renew roadside assist. Shopping FMCA and coachnet.

I'm curious as to tire changing / bringing a tire to fit rather than keeping a spare on board. I've done research but really can't determine the reliability of this service by those who supply it

Each of these roadside assistance memberships provide flat tire assistance. Bringing a new tire, not so much. Lou

We had Coach-Net a few years ago. They couldn't even help us one Sunday near Melbourne, FL to have a tire changed on our class C. I ended up calling a independent roadside service, who got it done within 2 hours. Coach-Net was of no use whatsoever.

I heard Coach Net was bought out in February of 2024. Are they still the preferred company?

Hey Lou, Informative video ! There are so many things to think of, (or even that you dont think of) that can go wrong when you are out there traveling the USA. And as I have seen, can get very expensive for you RV'ers, I couldnt even fathom some of the costs you must pay, while out on the road..! Good info on each one....but one thing I was confused on, with the Coach Plan,...it said that it only covered the cost of towing IF it was the result of a collision..? It didnt say that you were covered if it was a mechanical breakdown, like you wanted in the other companies...? Or did I not catch that? Wouldnt you need the mechanical breakdown coverage, more than a collision? I dont own an RV, as you already know, but hoping someday soon, so I was just wondering why the Coach net, didnt have that. As always , love your video's and always come away learning something I didnt know about! Thanks for all that you do!! take care vicky 😊

Coach-Net covers towing for disablement due to both mechanical failure and collision. Coach-Net Trip Interruption Coverage only applies to vehicle disablement more than 100 miles from home due to collision. Lou

Hello, I bought a new 20 ft travel trailer a month ago and tow it with an older tow vehicle. What happens if my tow vehicle breaks down while in use towing. Would they tow both my tow vehicle as well as my trailer. Is this a reimbursement transaction or do they get paid directly by the roadside assistance company. I enjoy your videos. Thanks for the help Bill

Not an RVR yet but very interested in this subject have you looked into progressive

Progressive RV Insurance is first rate. However, progressive does not offer comprehensive RV roadside assistance.
@dogrsqr7 ай бұрын
What do you mean by "comprehensive RV roadside assistance"? Their coverage summary says: Roadside assistance covers the same events whether you drive a car, motorcycle, boat, or RV. However, there are some unique aspects for each type. Whether you're in your own driveway or on the road, you can get help if your vehicle has stopped running due to non-accident-related events (e.g., mechanical or electrical breakdown). Vehicle towing: We can arrange to tow your vehicle anywhere within a 15-mile radius. If there isn't a repair shop within 15 miles, we tow it to the nearest qualified repair shop. If you choose to have your vehicle towed to a shop that isn't the closest one, you need to pay for the extra mileage. Keep in mind, you're responsible for the cost of any parts and/or repairs made to your vehicle. Winching service: If your car is stuck in mud, snow, water, or sand (within 100 feet of a road or highway), we pull your car out with a motor-powered cable or chain. Battery jump-start: We jump-start it at the scene to help get you on your way. Fuel delivery: If you run out of gas, we deliver fuel directly to your vehicle. You only pay for the cost of the fuel. The delivery and service is free. Battery charge for electric cars: If you run out of charge, we can arrange to tow your vehicle anywhere within a 15-mile radius, or to the nearest qualified charging facility if there isn't one within 15 miles. You only pay for the cost of the charge. Locksmith service: If your keys are lost, stolen, or accidentally locked inside your vehicle, we dispatch a qualified service provider. You're only responsible for the replacement key costs. Flat tire change: No need to panic if you have a flat. A roadside professional can put the spare tire on your vehicle at the scene for no cost as long as you can provide a spare. On-scene labor: We provide up to one hour of labor if your car is disabled. If you need more than an hour, you can simply choose to have your vehicle towed to the nearest qualified repair shop or pay for any extra costs.

This all sounded great, then i learned Coach-net was recently sold. Now interuption coverage only applies to collisions. What else has changed?

I’m not so sure there was a change. I cover the information available at the time this video was recorded.

I was looking into this today 4-9-2024 and here is their explanation of trip interruption coverage. "Up to $2,000 reimbursement for automobile rental, food and lodging made necessary by the disablement of your RV due to a collision more than 100 miles from your home."
