UPDATE: We mentioned in the video to check the website for pricing. That was our mistake. Due to their new certification with the Texas Workforce Commission, they are no longer allowed to put prices online. From NRVTA: "The programs have variables that include credits based on what course you take. The easiest way to get pricing is to just call us. We’re following TWC guidelines and one of those guidelines is that we’re unable to discuss pricing with individuals who are looking to get state funding to come to school. So we need to talk to everyone first to determine if we can talk pricing or refer them to the state. We’re not hiding anything, just following rules we now have to abide by as a Licensed Certified Career Training School."

I wonder if Grand Design didn't spend so much time on your new rig that they slapped another solar panel on the 3100RD and upped the price by 20k. They failed on upgrading their rigs this year except for yours. Total fail company.

I want to do this so bad! I turned 50 this year I have had a good career as a oil and gas compressor technician, and a side business in home repair, and maintenance, I bought my travel trailer last spring just before things got crazy. So for about the last year I have binge watched videos to gain as much knowledge as possible, from you guys and many others. So empty nest, youngest daughter through law school, I think I need this for part 2 of my life.

In 2019 I attended for 2 weeks to obtain the Level 1 and 2 Certified Inspector credentials. I echo what has been said in this video. Top notch education, excellent facility and faculity who made the informtion easy to digest and learn. In my class there were about 6 women in attendance as well. If you are thinking of getting into this industry NRVTA will prepare you for success. At the least you will be much more knowledgable about your coach and how to approach the issues that arise. I highly recommend getting up early and attending the "business" school they offer as well. Excellent practical information for small business owners to be.

Excellent video! One thing Chad mentioned was TWC certification. They are now certified by state of Texas. You also mentioned VA benefits. Briefly, but for many of us that may be the only way to fund more that the 1 week course. Sooooo. VA UPDATE!!! It is NOT approved as of yet. They are in the process of approval. VA requires 2 years after receiving state certification. So that pushes the VA funding option to April 2023 at the earliest. It SHOULD be approved. They meet all their requirement. Except time. So for any veterans looking at that options, it's coming. Hope that helps.

You saved me $16,500. Thanks. So I have been watching your channel for a while and I now know so much more about rvs. I also watch your other youtuber's and learn from them too. I recently came across a posting on Craigslist for an RV. We used to own a Heartland Prowler Lynx and we liked it a lot, so when we saw this one we were excited to get it. However, I followed your tips and did my inspection. There were some small issues, kind of a tip that they really did not know about campers and that this one was not in great shape. But the real kicker was when I got on my latter and took a look at the roof. 4 sections of Roof tape completely covering the TPO roof. NOT sealed with LAP. I got down from the latter said Thank you and walked away. I mean roof tape over the entire roof, no sealing agent. Oh and it was about to rain heavy. No thanks. I can't believe these people are going to screw someone over $16,500 with a roof that is only tape (oh and NOT installed correctly). Amazing. Thanks again to you guys for saving our bacon from a HUGE mistake.

What a great video. I just got back a week ago from attending the one week fundamental course there. I flew there from Maryland to take the course and while it was not an inexpensive trip I consider it great value. After being an RV’r for almost 40 years my biggest regret is that I didn’t take this course 40 years ago. It would’ve saved me a lot of pain and a lot of expense along the way. Their fundamentals course should be a prerequisite for every new RV owner. I can’t wait to go back now and do the inspector course later this year.

Hey Chad (and Tara) nice video - I haven't chatted with you on anything in a while but we still watch. This course is very interesting to me and, like you, I have a strong background in military electronics training but can always learn more. I stopped the video at 28:56 and was checking out your measuring checklist - that was impressive how many readings they are getting you to take. Most people don't even realize the difference between the "big slot" and the "small slot" - much less checking wiring without a little cheater plug. Really good program overview - hope they paid your tuition! Travel safe! Brian & Brandelyne

LCI Leveling question- First of all we watch your channel every week and enjoy the content you produce it must be a ton of hard work that you make look easy. We have a 2016 Jayco Seismic Wave with an LCI auto level. We purchased about a year ago and have been on the road for about 8 months of that year. Our auto level gave us tons of trouble and frankly never worked. Until when leveling it I realized that the rear jacks were switched somewhere. Meaning when I would operate the Right rear jack the left rear jack would operate and vice versa. I went to the main control panel pf the LCI system and swapped the connections (which were connected and labeled “correctly” ) Panel said Right rear and the cable was labeled right rear. When I swapped them I plugged the left rear into the right rear and vice versa. Now the auto level works every time. I wanted to pass on my experience bit also ask if anyone has come across this. Additionally is there another place in the system where they may have been swapped? Since it works I am in the camp of leave well enough alone. Thanks in advance for all your content.

Thank you so much for your GREAT video's. I have been through a lot of RV videos because my wife an I are going to purchase a RV and travel. I am retired as of April 2021 and my wife is retiring March 2022. Watching your videos have helped me so much to prepare for our GOOD times together. Both of us were in the technology field and I keep all of our vehicles running. I love learning new things and maintaining our cars, jetski's and of course my Harley.( Indian makes a great bike also but I can only have one bike not two ) I have two computer technology degrees because the first one had punch cards so I updated it, I also have a degree in Cisco Wireless Systems and Cisco Networking....SO I was soooo pumped up to watch your Solar install. I've been watching and reading a lot about solar and I find it very interesting. Now I find out there is a school that will teach me how to maintain our RV ...... We are planning to go full time when our kids are done with high school-we still have 8 years until the youngest is done with high school. I thought it would be a good way to earn money while on the road. I currently do most of the maintenance on our current TT and would love to learn more. I would be one of the few women who would be taking the classes but I have always worked in predominantly male industry( air emissions testing and power plants don't tend to draw a lot of women).

I have had a mobile rv business for 3 years now and have looked into the certification courses. There is one major problem for not going...time. This past 2 1/2 week has been non stop, no days off and my phone sometimes starts at 6:30 am making those oh crap noises. Today,Sunday was from 8 am until 3pm plus 53 calls on my phone log. I wish NRVTA had remote courses as taking 6 or 7 weeks off, dragging my TT to Texas from Central Cal would mean lack of service to the RV'ers here as it sames I'm it. Not certified but with a mega yacht background and owning boatyards I get to fake it a lot!!! Just kidding. The dealers can't find workers and neither can i as no wants to work.

But the extra 300 bucks for funny money a week on unemployment, too many are sitting on the asses at home.
