That was great guys! I didn't know that park had all of that to see. I admit to being a little leery about the gators but we've been to Caddo Lake and that was lovely but we didn't have our dogs at that time. Thanks for the video guys!
@rvamericayall6 жыл бұрын
Hi David! Thanks! We are a bit more cautious about passing them when we have Star. But we’ve never had a problem. Just like you saw in the video, they’ll usually move on if we are patient. Plus, there are plenty of trails away from the gators and they don’t go around the camping loops.

Thank you for taking us on a great tour of such a beautiful state park with so many fond memories of your family get togethers. We love it when a state park has so much to see and do. We live with in a few miles of P.F. Hoffmaster state park here in Norton Shores, Michigan. It has a beautiful nature center and tons of hiking that takes you right out to Lake Michigan.

Great video and thanks for sharing :>) I use to frequent that park throughout the 90's and what a true nature experience it was! Once while hiking off of Big Creek I came across a live oak tree that was a good bit larger than the old ones at the information center...all I could say was WOW! I only hope that grand ole live oak survived the drought of 2011 along with the epic flooding events that happened afterwards?? :>(
@rvamericayall6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Randall! We hope that tree survived also. We just love thinking about what those old trees have seen over their lives. They are amazing!

Let me ask your opinion I am just a weekend warrior and I am over tent camping how do you feel about R-POD 90 by Forest River 🧐?
@rvamericayall6 жыл бұрын
We don’t have any personal experiences with R-Pods but we have seen quite a few. We like the small size. You could camp in just about any campsite. We think they use the space well. The R-Pod owners we’ve talked with seem to be happy with them.

I guess I need to start carrying cash with me. Never thought about it. I have been nosing around the last few days by driving to Stephen F Austin and Livingston State Parks the last few days in my car to go check them out. Tomorrow (Sunday) i am going to this park. I did have a regret at going to Livingston on a Saturday in June (wow the place was packed). I make most of these runs by watching your videos. 3 more months and I will be in it to win it with a new 5ver! Thank you for your videos!

As always, great video. Within the next two months we'll be going to Brazos Bend State Park. Curious if you could recommend a site? We use 30 amp but can adapt to 50 if needed. Would like the site empty on the camping side or a decent amount of space to the next site. You have stated before about being in site 105, which looked good. But, it appears they have done away with this site. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
@rvamericayall3 жыл бұрын
Check out sites 213 and 215. They are 30 amp sites in a meadow. We always see tons of deer around those sites.

is there a time limit on how long you can stay in a Texas state park. if there is how long do you have to be out before you can return
@rvamericayall6 жыл бұрын
Hi Larry! There are some variations & some parks have different length of stay rules depending on the season. For the most part, you’re looking at a 14 day max stay. As far as how long before you can return, we know you can go directly to another Texas State Park. We are not aware of any specific rules for how long you have to be somewhere else befor you return to the same state park.
