Thanks for joining us! We had a GREAT time exploring San Marcos! So much to do around that area, and such an interesting ecosystem. Thanks again to Don of Dallas Ring Finders for the drone footage of Pecan Park. We've put a link to his channel in the description so you can check it out! We've also put links to all of the places we visited in the description.

I know it sounds like I said Martintown, but I promise I said Martindale. I don’t know why I sort of mumbled there. I thought the exact same thing when I watched the video back. Sorry about that. -Stacie

My father was born in San Marcos in 1895. We took our kids there in 1985 and went on the glass bottom boats. Wonder Cave and the Antigravity House. It was a great time and they all remember it still. Great video.

I too spent many days as a child and young adult at Aquarena Springs, I loved it! I was so sad to see that it is no more, however, it is wonderful that it has been conserved for research. Thanks for invoking all those special childhood memories for those of us who remember Aquarena Springs!

Hey Ya'll. Love Y'all's channel. On your Jeep you have a outside body roll cage. Besides holding your Kayaks, is it strong enough to help in a roll over. I Pray that it never happens. Just wondering. Hope you all had a good Fourth of July, see y'all later.
@rvamericayall5 жыл бұрын
Hey Hoss! Great question. We don't know for sure, but it is basically part of the frame. We can hang off of it on the side and rock the entire Jeep side to side. So it probably would give us at least a little bit of extra protection.

Between San Antonio and Austin you could easily spend two weeks in that area. You are very near the glass-blowing place I don't know if you'd ever been there I believe it's between San Marcos and Wimberley closer to San Marcos if I'm not mistaken. The restaurant that you ate at in San Marcos is there a damn right outside the deck. Because I was at one very similar to that it was an old Gristmill.

When I was a kid we visited there once, Aquarena Springs that is. That was a little fancier glass bottom boat from what I remember. Mid to late 70's when I got to go,,,,I think..lol Sure looks different. Still beautiful looking though. Did you guys see any nice looking campsites for tents around the river there? Thanks for sharing!
@rvamericayall5 жыл бұрын
Hey y’all! We did not see any tent camping in or around San Marcos. We’ve heard that Leisure Resort in Fentress has tent camping. It’s about 20 minutes or so from San Marcos. And there are a lot of tent camping options in amd around New Braunfels along River Road. That would be about 30 minutes to an hour away from San Marcos.
@TexomaRoadTrippers5 жыл бұрын
@@rvamericayall Ah okay, thank you for the info. I just looked up Leisure Resort, primitive tent camping is $32.00 a night. Thanks again for the info, that gives us a start on knowing what is around down there. Y'all be careful out there. Take care, Brandon
