RV to ALASKA 2022- 4th of July in Seward

RV camping in Seward, Alaska for the 4th of July might just be our #1 must do if you are RVing summer in Alaska. This is such an awesome throw back to days gone by for both of us. Seward has a booming population for 24-48 hours and they manage it well.
Book your sites as soon as the reservation system through the city of Seward allows! Set a reminder!! We were in dry camping on the marina end for this stretch and completely unaware the fireworks would be launching right on top of us. Poor, Gatsby. He has never been bothered by fireworks before but none of us had ever been that close either!! It truly traumatized him so now we have to medicate him every time there are fireworks. Old man, Silas was fine. He’s always fine. We have to laugh at how rough we look after staying up so late for the fireworks. It ain’t easy getting older.
IMPORTANT::: Fireworks are 12:01 in the MORNING of July 4th. Not the night of July 4th. The city of Seward will post a schedule for July 3rd and 4th so be sure to pull that up so you don’t miss anything fun!

Great video!! We are taking my family to Alaska in June and July this year and we will have an RN while we are in this area. Did you guys need a permit for parking while you were there? Or how did that work?

We reserved our campsite as soon as Seward opened their reservations up and we were able to walk most places from there. On the exception of July 4th - you shouldn’t have any problems finding a place to park. Enjoy your amazing summer! We are excited for you!
