hello thanks for taking us along. Im definitely a hotel type lol i always say i need a bathroom better than i have at home, when i go away . i have been to alaska with my two girls. we did a cruise and then rented a car in skagway and drove to the yukon so the girls could go horseback riding. we have plans to return now that they are all married with kids. Seward looks wonderful. My grandson and one on the way will love the adventure. Grandma just has to figure out how stay there. No tent lol but maybe a camper. Thank you again Such a wonderful place to live. When i sailed into alaska for the fist time and saw the views i thought that if you never believed in God, you would have to after seeing the majestic scenery. Nobody else could have created that. sorry so long. stay safe....Vickiee

Hello from Finland! I recently discovered your channel.. I love it. Your family is awesome. Alaska is a bit like Finland.. same kind of climate.. long, dark abd cold winters, short sumners and light summer nights.. four distinctive seasons.. which I like. Thank you for your posts.. I particularly like your all family cooking sessios.

Loving this video!! Alaska is just beautiful. Thx for sharing your camping trip. I felt swept away for a bit watching. I thought of you while watching another channel from Alaska. They drove to dip net in Kenai Sp? They drove through a sketchy tunnel -one way, that even the train uses. I bet you know it. What I appreciate about you is that you have a great life and you know it. Bravo for embracing the tough stuff and still having family fun. Can’t wait to see more ☺️

I am sure glad you were not there for that Landslide, how long did it take to clear that up? It kind of puts it in perspective that Mountains although beautiful, can sometimes be dangerous. Those Mountain Goats were fun to see, does that happen all the time or is it a seasonal thing. I love the RV camping, switch up. Do your Parents usually stay in Seward when in Alaska or do they like other camp sites? That game looked like fun. That would be a fun gift for Christmas. I love the Rock painting. That was a group effort. Can you tell me what kind of paint pens those were? That also would make a great Christmas gift. Can't wait for Part 2. Hopefully Mark will get in a session with Everett with the Bike. He is getting more confident. Its like reeling in the fishing line with his feet. Thanks for taking us along the Aquarium was neato.

The landslide took over a month to get cleaned up. They were still working on it when we passed. I am sure they are having to assess how to keep it safe in the future. The mom and baby Dall sheep will often be down low in the summer but never the rams. They stay way up in the mountains. My parents camp at several different places but they really love Seward. I will be including the paint pens in a video really soon but here is the link amzn.to/3BQl71a Thank you so much for coming along. We are so grateful!

@@ThisAlaskaLife When we didn't put our bikes or other things away they would be taken away for a while and couldn't be touched. It taught responsibility to take care of your things. Our neighbor had had hooks on the electric pole in the yard and would hang his kids stuff that didn't get put away on the pole. We laugh about it now

@@alk3078 just was trying to understand what you were saying, thanks for clarifying! Yes, working hard to help the kids take good care of their bikes and scooters. They naturally want to leave them all over, drives me nuts. We have lots of discussions about putting them away properly. I remember losing things as a kid too, my dad had a gunny sack and things would disappear when we didn’t take care of them.

I’m sure this question has been asked before but I recently found you. Does your husband drive another vehicle or does he travel for work and meets you there? 🙂

Welcome! So happy to have you here! My husband never joined us on this trip. We actually have 3 cars at the moment. It has always been my dream to have a big van to carry the boys and all their cousins and friends around. Last summer we saved up and were able to buy this bag white van. My husband drives a CRV and I have a mini-van for normal everyday life. But the big van has been so helpful in hauling gear and towing things.

Love camping with showers available. 😉. My parents had a large camper we used for a while but they traded it for a van type camper so we usually only stay at hotels or yurts 🛖 now.
