The slide fascias are the best! They showed up last year on a different bus. Just beautiful. Nice and clean. There is no need to add all the moulding and trip pieces. Just a simple 1x6 works for me. These gorgeous picture frame style fascias are just so freaking sweet. Obviously they are a lot more expensive to produce. If you couldn't get stock long enough, you'd have to add real wood veneer over lumber core planks joined together in order to span an entire super slide. Thus the added expense of such beautiful and elegant slide fascias. Thanks kids for sharing this with us. Cheers from Seattle!

This just became our future RV for fulltiming. Well, it will have to be a used one, not new. The $420K MSRP is a little too rich for me. But, the floor plan and the White Linen cabinets, that is butiful.

Lovely. Still, I believe there is a need for Propane. Maybe that rig comes with an optional 600 Cummins?
@ChangingLanes5 жыл бұрын
Yea... all electric is cool, but sure would be hard to boondock somewhere with generator restrictions. From the tiffin site: Optional: PowerGlide® X15 / FREIGHTLINER® CHASSIS with Cummins 605 HP/1950 lb Torque (Delayed Availability) Bingo!
@Garth20115 жыл бұрын
@@ChangingLanes Yes and who would want to listen to the generator while boondocking when propane could keep the fridge cool. Much cheaper too run a propane pilot light than fuel a generator. On these big A coaches its important to select your chassis, not all of them have the best reviews.

Would you guys ever consider buying a motor coach?
@ChangingLanes4 жыл бұрын
We did... Our decision to buy a fifth wheel toy hauler over a class A diesel pusher was primarily economic precipitated by weight. Bringing Lucile (our 2017 Indian Roadmaster) was a MUST. Lucile weighs about 950lbs with fuel. Since we didn't want to deal with a trailer (and we wanted to flat tow a daily driver), we were looking at lift systems (like Hydralift). When you do the math on a 950lbs motorcycle plus a 400lb lift and factor in leverage based on the average distance from the rear axle to the bumper, it adds around 2000lbs to the rear axle. That put us in tag-axle territory, which starts getting WAY up in price. So, we had a choice between waiting another year to save more money , or investigating a plan B. So, we started looking at toy hauler options. The only Class A toy hauler we found was a Gas model by Thor. Nope. The more we looked at fifth wheel toy haulers the more we realized that it maybe should have been our Plan A all along. A lot more living space when converting the garage to an office / guest suite, two full baths, kitchen with island, etc. And the financial aspect fit too. Class A option: Roughly 300K rig (tag axle) plus 30K daily driver plus around 10K for the lift, braking system, tow system, etc (340K minimum). Fiver TH option: 60K Truck plus 90K rig (150K) AND we get more living space. That was an option we could fit in our budget and timeline...

please help me understand, you spend $400k to buy a house, 5 to 8 years later your house market price may go up to $430k to $450k but you spend the same amount of money $400k to buy an RV, a few years later the price gonna go down, am i right?
@Garth20115 жыл бұрын
The RV depreciates while a residential home usually appreciates. However, if you purchased a $450,000 house, it will come with all of the utility bills and the property taxes which are about 1.20% or $5,400 a year ($450/mo). Lots of cities are now charging outrageous "hook up" base fees to have water, electric, gas and sewage so there are minimum charges weather you use any water, for example, there's still a monthly or bi-monthly bill to "support" the water division even though the cities own them. You will have to do some math to decide which is your best value because the coach will require maintenance, fuel, campsite fee's etc. It could be that a coach would be an option for some while not for others regarding the ending value in costs to support the RV vs. a residence. Traveling has to account for some of the value in an RV !
@ChangingLanes5 жыл бұрын
Indeed... A house can go up in value, while an RV will most definitely go down in value. So, buying an RV as a monetary investment is a bad idea. Buying an RV is an investment in freedom and mobility.

@stano51025 жыл бұрын
You should also get an additional 25-40% off sticker price if you do your research. You don’t purchase as an investment it’s a quality of life experience. It’s always best to buy used anyway and let someone else fix bugs and take the biggest depreciation hit. Then your vacation home is wherever you want it to be.

@ChangingLanes5 жыл бұрын
Good question! Likely a roof full of panels since it's all electric. No idea on that one! Will know more about solar after we do ours.. :)
@ae92gts5 жыл бұрын
Most people with this size coach have been able to squeeze in enough solar panels for around 1,600-2,000 watts. If you upgrade to a bank of 6 lithium batteries, watch your energy usage, and get enough quality sunlight during the day it’s not unheard of to get 10+ days without the generator.
