My wife and I are looking for a fifth wheel to retire into, and the 375RES is the one we have, well almost but not quite, settled on. It is far more expensive than we budgeted for, but it has a few features that we hadn't even considered which we have now decided we can't live without. Among them is the fireplace/space heater. Just like Rae (4:53) my wife has decided that are are NOT getting a trailer that doesn't have this. We haven't made our final selection or committed to a purchase yet because before we retire, sell our property, buy an RV, and hit the road, some things outside of our control have to happen first. So, we are playing a waiting game. But the 375RES is currently number one on our list. I am watching your video in July 2022, so three and a half years after you posted it, but the primary features of the trailer remain the same. Some small details and décor options are different, otherwise your video is still relevant to folks like us who are considering this wonderful rig.

We found the rig they are in at our latest local RV show and fell in love. Think that's the way we're going! Can't beat the storage!!! what sold it for us was the "separation" between living room, kitchen, and bedroom. When you're in each space there is a distinct difference/separation and we loved that.

Chad, on the video by the Getaway couple on the tour of the Changing Lanes rig you mentioned your sound system and cranking the music up. What music might that be? Cheers!!
@ChangingLanes5 жыл бұрын
Hi! The sound system in our RV is the Rockford Fosgate system that was an option on our RV. Has a subwoofer behind the sofa and extra speakers inside and out. It mostly gets turned on for Daisy when we go out and there's no TV signals for her to watch. Daisy isn't allowed to stream from the appletv. LOL

We were using the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 (amzn.to/2sXiCFO). It works great, but hated mounting and un-mounting the phone. Also didn't like how it records to it's own camera roll, which made the process of getting the footage off a pain (likely why we lost footage in this case). We've since replaced it with the DJI Osmo Pocket (amzn.to/2ML2O22), but that one is over 2x the price. The Osmo Mobile 2 is a great device for the price for sure. Thanks for watching, Dean! Good luck RV shopping! 😊

So now that you've got a video of a Solitude on your channel, do you guys feel like there is a big hardware/cabinetry/material difference between the Momentum and the Solitude Line? Rumors on some facebook groups are that Solitude's have nicer cabinets and pulls and furniture overall. How do you guys feel about it?

I need some advice! I have 8000$. So should I buy a used travel trailer and finance a newer truck. Or buy a nice used truck and go try to find a 2018 model camper. I'm trying to go full time this year. Thanks for your help!!
@ChangingLanes5 жыл бұрын
Well.. Here are my thoughts (chad)... if you get the right truck, it can last you through several campers if you size it up a bit. A good truck will depreciate less also (particularly diesel). You'll likely want to upgrade the camper before the truck, so having less depreciation on the RV by buying used might be the best option. That's my take at least... Hope that helps. Good luck! 😊
@bradscrazylife42695 жыл бұрын
Yeah we were thinking we liked a used Jayco Eagle 314 6500 used and get a F 250 6 3/4 bed newer like 2015/2016 6.7 diesel. So we can tow our Harley and our trailer without getting a expensive 5th wheel so we can keep the cost down.
@ChangingLanes5 жыл бұрын
Even less depreciation on the truck then! 👍🏽😊

How's my favorite couple? I am curious, do you need a commercial license to drive your rig. Plus, have you looked at the 2019 Dodges? I mean don't worry, as soon as you buy something I can almost promise you'll find something cheaper or better. NOW, I am NOT saying a Dodge is better than a Ford by any stretch of the imagination. I'm just partial to Dodge because of the engine and YES I know Ford owns cummins. Anyway let me know about the license. Ok!
@ChangingLanes5 жыл бұрын
No CDL Required (for us)... There's a lot of confusion on this topic. Yes, some states have Class A CDL or some type of non-commercial endorsement requirements for RV's over certain weights. However, Florida , as well as about half of the other states, do not. In Florida, drivers of recreational vehicles are exempt from the requirement to obtain a commercial drivers license. section 322.53(2) (d), Florida Statutes. (www.flhsmv.gov/florida-highway-patrol/specialized-areas/commercial-vehicle-enforcement/recreational-vehicles/) Since every state honors the driving and license requirements of every other state, we are perfectly legal to drive in all 50 states under our standard Florida license. And.. I haven't seen it, but I hear the 2019 RAMs are awesome. 35K towing capacity... but I can't find any details on GVWR. Did it go up from 14K?
@stevecrazy94915 жыл бұрын
@@ChangingLanes I'm not sure but here is the link. I am very impressed and I might just sell my 2006 Ford King Ranch and bit the bullet. YES, I know these trucks are very expensive but I should get good money for my King Ranch since it only has 22 thousand miles on it. Hard to believe I know. Long story but the wife got breast cancer and, well, it slowed it way down. Here is the link for Dodge. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rp7Io2unnpWcbpY Oh yea, all 3500 come standard with the Asis transmission. I wonder if I should order a 4:10 since I'll have a truck camper. Probably not necessary. I love your rig but we want to travel .
